Great cast but the production felt too rushed

It was good enough for a BL but I wished that it was not a sequel from the first season since the whole story builds within an entirely new set of characters, with the main couple from the prequel having a short screentime as guest roles. The pilot episode was too messy since we were introduced to the cast right away with too little explanation of who they were.

Have you noticed that in Episode Five, a mic has been included in the frame at the top floating to record the lines of the main couple? It was the first time I’ve ever seen a production that has been aired without re-editing this part, it was hilarious haha.

The best thing about this show is how they fairly executed enough screen time for the three couples within a few episodes. And the casts themselves are pretty good at holding to the characteristics of their roles. The kisses!! It was so wonderful how the three couples fought to have the best-kissing scenes in this drama. They are so passionate and no awkwardness is seen through their roles.

If I rank the three couples, I would choose Min Woo and Ma Ru as my favorite couple. Sung Min and Joo Hyuk, the assistant teacher and art student second and last place goes to Lee Hyun and Kim An.

Despite the few loopholes in the drama, I absolutely enjoy each of their storylines. If and only if they managed to have a much bigger budget, I guess that these loopholes can be perfectly excluded. If there’s another sequel of Love Class, I just wish that they bring out the first couple from season one and start establishing what happened to their life after being together as a couple, with the new casts included on it too.

Worth watching, but a mixture of good and bad

I loved the general idea and follow-through of two of the three storylines. (hopefully not a spoiler) but I'm a huge fan of the "I'm in love with my straight, oblivious best friend who makes my life all miserable" and they did a pretty good job with it. I felt Min Woo's pain, but then it became a little choppy/rushed.
I loved Lee Hyun and Kim An's storyline because of Lee Hyun's unwavering devotion to Kim An despite all he had been through, slowly showing him he can let love in. But Kim Yong Seok was (rightly) just done with his character by episode 9. His character had seemed like a strong character who was fighting through so much sh*t, and was in reach of making it out the other side, and then, well that would be a spoiler, but in general, I feel like the "weakness" and dependence shown by the character later on was out of character, and Kim Yong Seok (and I) were not fans.
The last one was just ... present? I'm sure there was a story being told, but I can't really isolate it. Nevertheless, Jung Woo Jae was one of the best actors in the show. (I was surprised that J-min was the best actor. Should I be surprised that an idol is an incredible actor? Or am I being partial)
(other?) Complaints:
Like what was it with the boom mikes floating along the top of the screen at least two different times - the first time they were in front of Kim An's house, and the second was in Ep. 9. I don't know a lot about filming, but I Can't think of anything more unprofessional and easily fixed. Like, that seems like the biggest no-no.
While I enjoyed the individual storylines, the ending of each (especially Maru and Min Woo) seemed rushed, but then they stretched out the ending also known as who-even-knows-what-is-happening-after-everyone-got-together-but-let's-make-it-as-awkward-and-poinless-as-sh*t. i.e. Episode 10 should not exist. It was the epitome of awkward cringe. I watched it because the characters' stories and actors had brought me in and I wanted to stay with them until the end. There were still little cute moments in the mix, but it still was painful to watch. You could tell Gim An/Kim Yong Seok had had enough. (somewhat of a spoiler) Forcing all storylines to converge in a nonsensical way, and have six men sit and talk in a circle about each other and nothing while glamping together? Nah, man.

an unexpectedly nice watch

I didn't expect all that much from the show after watching the first few episodes but I luckily got attached partway through. 😊

The three storylines were progressing steadily and I feel like no scene was wasted despite (or maybe because of) the short runtime - except the last episode, but it was so cute that I'm gonna let that slide.

The acting was solid and the atmosphere, sets and background music felt mostly cohesive and served the stories well. The sound mixing could do with some adjustments but at least we didn't get cheesy songs blasting over impactful scenes.

I think my main gripe is that there's a disparity in chemistry/ earnestness in the couples. The TA/student couple felt incredibly real and their intimacy was so well-presented that it felt.... sorry for being dramatic, but kinda revolutionary for k-bls? They really knocked it out of the park. 10/10.

Minwoo and Maru weren't exactly on that level but through the relationship progression, you could really feel the characters grow more comfortable with each other and their romantic scenes felt earned and intimate and were super rewarding. (GREAT kisses, too.) How Minwoo opened up and became so smiley in the last few episodes was SO lovely to see.

The third (main?) couple however....... at the start, I understood that their dynamic was more complicated because of their history/ the circumstances etc. but even as we moved along in the story, it didn't feel like they genuinely warmed up to each other. Their kisses were painful to witness, sorry. Watching them right after we saw the other two couples be so visibly in love was staggering. Their storyline itself was the most unique and I appreciate that, but the chemistry between the actors just wasn't there. I personally feel like they were miscast.

All in all, it was a mixed bag but it did defy my expectations and I grew to love the second half of the season especially. Do give it a try.

Yes, Yes and YES

This season was definitely better than season one. All couples were splendid but you’ll definitely like two of three the best. The kisses were delicious and well done except for one of the main couple (who has the dude that looks just like seungmin from stray kids) who gave stiff kisses but where they lacked in kissing they had some of the sweetest moments giving us everything else.
The show itself had good plots but I will say there was too much screen time for a certain character and it wouldn’t have been bad if only the writers and directors divulged and explored that certain storyline further. I still have many unanswered questions.
The actual editing of the show could have been a lot better. There were several scenes where you could see the boom mic and choppy editing with certain scenes where you can tell they were from several different takes.
Other than that everything else was well done. Especially the casting! So glad they got to explore and do more with the storyline and script this time around. Hopefully we’ll get more in the future!!!

The story isn't a continuation of s1 it just has the same concept! I don't mind it at all! It's e cute series without much drama. It's story of 6 people that they found love and friendship! I like the cast. The acting isn't a 10/10 but it's quite good!I also liked all 3 couples and they had chemistry. The first (main) couple had a bit of dead fish kisses but other than that they were very cute. The other 2 couples were good in that department 😘!
One more thing that I really enjoyed was the fact that all 6 characters had very healthy relationships of friendship and love with each other! It's series that gives you a warm feeling!
It's one of those series that you want to watch when you're tired, feeling lonely and you don't want to think too much!
One thing that I found that it was throwing me off it's that in the beginning the introduction of the characters was a bit confusing..

Overall it was very enjoyable and cute drama!!
My only issue it was that it definitely needed better music...especially in some scenes the music was so off of the feeling of that particular scene that it was very awkward..some cute and "hot" scenes had same weird music that, although the scenes were very enjoyable and entertaining, the music made them feel awkward and some times even boring...at least that's how it was for me.

"THE RIGHT WAY ON MAKING A MULTIPLE COUPLE IN 1 B L SERIES"

As I said in the cover of this review, this is a great example of how multiple couple story in BL series is done. Not messy, clear story, interconnected to each one of the couple and most important is it make sense.
I've seen multiple BL that tried to incorporate not just 1, 2, 3 but 4 couple in one series and it's a hell of a mess! It's not connected to each other, and if it is, it does not make any sense to the story. I am not shaming any country on this review but Thailand BL does this a lot and more often than not, it's more confusing and leaves the viewers on WHAT!!? WHY!!?? HOW!!??

Love Class 2 is the first Korean BL that introduces multiple couple and they did a great job!
The teacher-student fiasco is such a cute one especially the progression of their story. KIm An and Joo Hyuk is perfect and they did a great job! Their kissing and bed scenes and tastefully done, in fact all three couple's romantic scenes are tastefully done. It's not sexual in a sense that you would imagine it's a gay porn, it's not!
Bestfriend to lovers has always a place in my heart. Ma Roo's sweet face and charisma and Min Woo's child-like but super protective traits is one too watch! This couple sue nailed their role!
The third couple on the other hand is somewhat "fine" to me. Senior and junior to lovers, I feel like this two needs a bit of sugar or maybe the chemistry.....Other than that they did a great job in acting.
If i were to rate each couple it would be.... 1 - Teacher and Student, 2- Bestfriends and last would be the Senior and Junior.

WITH ALL THIS THOUGHTS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATCHING THIS FRESH BL SERIES. IT'S FLUFFY, LIGHT AND CUTE. LESS DRAMA, MORE CUTENESS!

:)

i am absolutely obsessed with this show. i’ve been anticipating it for a while because i’m a fan of j-min. and let me say, i was not disappointed in the slightest.
at the start of the show, i was very confused on what was going on because the plot that was being shown to me was different than synopsis’ that i’ve read online, so i just couldn’t fully grasp the true concept until a bit later. other than that, i have literally no complaints.
the pacing was so good. nothing was rushed, and i loved how each couple was given mostly equal amounts of screen time. it allowed each of their stories to go into depth without any rush or holes.
all of the actors have great chemistry with each other, which is surprising since this series is a lot of their first roles. i wasn’t expecting j-min to be a bad actor, but he definitely flew way out of my expectations.
all of these characters felt really real. that’s how good everyone’s chemistry is. like if you told me these characters were real and they were dating in real life, i would believe you. that’s how good their acting and chemistry is.
i loved this plot a lot. i loved how it wasn’t overly cheesy, had a dark side to it, and some angst too. and the differences between each couples was refreshing too— nothing was repetitive so it held my attention well and i was able to really indulge into this series more. in the short amount of time, this series has become one of my favorite kbl series. i’m so proud of j-min, and i’m happy that i’ve been able to find other amazing actors to support. i’ll definitely be rewatching this.

It's a gay, gay, gay world and I love every minute of it!

I honestly cannot pinpoint exactly why I loved this bl so much. Its 3 storylines are fairly generic(although 1 has some dark elements) and nothing new is really explored. That being said, the fact they were able to hold my interest with all 3 stories in such a short span-20-25 minute episodes and 10 episodes-speaks volumes about the production. Each story was given equal airtime and I was left satisfied with each outcome. I never felt there was "missing" plot pieces. Overall, all 6 leads were likeable and did well with their roles. Some were a bit "greener" in their acting but to be expected from some newcomers. Each couple had great chemistry, but if I had a criticism, it would be some suspect kissing between J-min and Kim Yong Seok, mostly from J-min, but this being his first role, I gave him some slack. This was a light, breezy and fun watch!

LOVE!! >:3

English is not my first language, but allow me to write some reciew. As for someone who don't criticize much with their plots... Overall, it's a good story. NGL, I wasn't expecting for LOTS of kissing scene, and frankly speaking I'm thankful for it as we're all aware that lot's of KBLs that has only like less than 3 kissing scene. (hehe and im actually looking forward for kissing scenes too LOLOLOL BUT IM NOT EXPECTING THEY WOULD EAT THEIR FACES???? INSTEAD OF JUST PPOP BUT YES SLAY)

At first, I thought that the season 1 and season 2 are connected. But thank god, they didn't - the previous actors on season 1 only appear as a comeo in season 2. And frankly speaking, I would've just stopped watching this if season 2 are equivalent to season 1. Thank god, they inproved a lot in season 2 and this is not something similar to Love Alarm.... (side eye, im sorry i have a beef with Love Alarm). I mean, I was expecting for kisses in season 1 but I only got 1 time?????? That's more to bromance... BUT HEY, ATLEAST SEASON 2 PAID BACK EVERYTHING LOL IM FULL!!! Oh and, at the beginning of this drama, I was gasping that [SPOILER] the first thing I watch is someone jump out of the building. I was like "HUH?"

Also, I love how this drama are able to distribute fairly of each of the main couple and side couples' stories. Which what I'm trying to say here is that, three of the couples' stories are delivered to the watchers fairly and not simply just "oh huh what happened to the other couple??? where are their screentime???" something like that...

Other things like their actings, osts, production is overall okay. lurve (love). Ah, as they might facing with budget things, it's acceptable if there's certain editing in this drama is... you know... imperfect... But hey! TBH, their actings, chemistries from beginning and (hehe) kisses makes me believe that this drama ate!! and surely they really ate! About their plots, luckily it is organised well and not sinply like, jumpy(?) and leaving us on hanging??? Yes. ANYWAY, recommended!!! 9.5/10!!!

dude kissed the other dude when he was passed out drunk;
super confusing for the first five episodes;
all three couples are frustrating and uncomfortable to watch;
30 minutes episodes felt like 2 hours, i had to skip some parts because everything was soooo slow, they walked slow, and talked slow, and ate slow, and there were so many quiet or staring scenes;

stands out from other kbls

s1 was okay, but s2 is on a whole other level. the acting was great, it never felt awkward or forced. the development of each of the relationships was very natural and fun to watch.

they dodged several of my bl pet peeves; plot holes, unnecessary angst, and ending it right as things get good. of course every story has to have a complication, but it wasn’t dragged out or exaggerated. and they took their time giving plenty of fluff without it being boring at any point.

the first episode was very confusing to be honest, and there were some production issues e.g. a few scenes where the boom mic was in shot, but overall if you’re not picky with that kind of stuff you’ll thoroughly enjoy it.

A sequel that completely stands on its own

I will be honest, I have not watched the first love class. I never saw anything about it that drew me in so going into this, I was prepared to be a little confused plot wise. Luckily, that wasn't really the case and I was able to enjoy the episodes completely. In order of couples, I was really having trouble picking a favorite. I loved all of them. I geuss I'll put Sungmin and Joohyuk at the bottom because their story is my least favourite. The synopsis of their story is completely wrong, which is why I must have been so let down at the start. I am not really into the drunk hookup trope but I thought it would be kinda fun for them. They had chemistry, that NC scene had me in shock, so I felt like it could have worked for them. But instead, they made Joohyuk an ass and had him threaten Sungmin in order to get a date so they could then drunk hookup. Post hookup though, I really liked them. I wish it'd started different but I really liked where it went. My second favourite was Maru and Minwoo, I'm a big sucker for unrequited love. My main, and only, issue with them is Minwoo slut shaming Maru. I get he was upset and Maru had deserved to be lectured but calling him a slut was WAY too far. I wish he'd gotten a little more lecturing but he did apologise and seemed to know that what he'd said was wrong. That aside though, I adore them. I love jealousy (done correctly) and I was living for Maru when Minwoo and Sa Ra were pretending to date. His reactions were everything, I loved it. And now, my favourite couple, Kim An and Lee Hyun. I loved them so much, they had a good plot line and their chemistry was good. My only qualm is the kisses were not good. Especially when you compare to the other two couples, who were doing very well with their kisses. I don't really have any excuses for lip presses anymore, don't join a drama that has kiss scenes if you can't commit to kissing.
Overall, this drama is good and it's worth the watch. You don't have to watch the first season, I didn't, so if the couples interest you than please give this a watch
