Mediation and Justice

Qin did an excellent job getting Ms Liu her husband’s ashes. Shen was a decent assist tho a bit slow on the uptakes. Qin got her in a car to the airport and the greedy sons got to see her treasure. There treatment of a woman that only showed them love and support is reprehensible. It will never really sink in with them what they tossed away, but she has had time to accept her circumstances and return the favor of living a happy life without them. She is at least with her husband and they can be buried in same place when the time comes. She won’t even have to tell the boys where they rest since they have already shown that was never a priority. Shen went to see his Gpa about something but the books interrupted his original purpose. Father and son have minimal conversation but both kept it civil. The father is happy with his son’s experiences in family court. If he is really trying to assist his son’s social interacting, I wish he spent the same amount of time working on his and wife’s interactions. He comes off as condescending and paternal rather than as a caring partner that sees her with equal standing. We get a bit of the history of why the judge retired and turned to cooking. He was supposed to pick up a neighbor’s daughter but dropped her off at an alley instead of seeing her home. As a father with a daughter, that is not sound judgment and the end result was the friend’s daughter was raped. She believes that the one that dropped her off was the guilty party and only Fei was witness to the truth. This is the trauma that has caused her not to speak since it happened. The family with kidney situation have reached a closer understanding. The 100k IOU is the last contentious issue. Both Qin and Shen find themselves looking for the same person. They both are worried that something has happened to him since nobody has been able to actually speak to him in days.
