The korean nostalgia dramas always slay
I started this drama because of choi hyun wook and the setting of the drama. this drama is set in 1995. and with various other dramas set in the this period which were really good sparked my interest! this drama differs as it doesn't only portray the 90's . its beepers , radio shows , music but also the question of life. the drama's tagline can be viva la vida which is uttered by the characters quite often. it means long live life! and that is so amazing . because we are always running behind something and forget to live. we see the characters in dilemma while deciding what to do with their life . essentially ha eun gyeol time travels to 1995 and tries to stop an accident but through this time travel he meets his parents when they were young and ends up seeing them in different life. he is CODA which makes him feel distant from his family sometimes. but he heals with the time travel. there is so much depth in story as we chung ah's character who starts enjoying life and communicating while meeting loved ones. this one is for the heartbroken 25 21 fans as in this drama we get two love stories though this drama can be sad at some point it is a must watch !!Was this review helpful to you?

Loved Loved
Kids will be kids…. I loved twinkling watermelon. It was a great drama drama that made me cry laugh and get angry. I was a little upset that he did try to stop his father’s accident, but his father ended up still deaf, but I did like the fact that he didn’t pity yourself because his son came and kind of changed his perspective on what happened to him. I do like the fact that the mother of the male lead did men her relationship with her father and the future did somehow change, so that was nice that the whole drama wasn’t for nothing. Was this review helpful to you?

A touching, uplifting drama that strikes the right chord between laughter and tears.
Twinkling Watermelon is a heartwarming fantasy youth drama about a musically gifted boy who accidentally time-travels to the 1990s and meets his teenage father. It beautifully blends comedy, music, and heartfelt family moments, with standout performances from Ryeoun, Choi Hyun-wook, and Seol In-ah. The story balances youthful romance with deeper themes of family, dreams, and reconciliation, making it both fun and emotional. Was this review helpful to you?

A mix between Reply 1988 and 25 21
This drama was the kind of drama that makes you feel like you are part of the friends group portrayed in the show 🥹🥹🥹 The feeling this drama gave me was similar to the feeling I had while watching Reply 1988, which is my favorite drama! The found family aspect is tearjerkingly heartwarming, the romance is tender, pure and innocent, and the fantasy is whimsical and well-thought-through ☺️In general I really like dramas set in the past, especially the 80s and 90s.
I also really loved the setting of the present in Hongdae ☺️ It made me reminisce about my trip there in summer 2024 😍😍😍
I really loved all the characters. Fake Se-Gyeong was a bit annoying sometimes at the beginning but it quickly changed to the better.
I also really liked how it ended. I had some alternative ideas in my head for how it could have ended but I really like this ending. It’s rare for me to like the actual ending of a show more than what I have envisioned 😂😂😂
The only thing that was missing was that I wished that Fake Se-Gyeong had re-opened her grandfather’s music shop Viva La Musica ☺️☺️☺️ That would have been the perfect ending… But nonetheless it was still great!
I also really liked how Cheong-Ah could resolve her relationship with her father 🥹 That was so heartwarming!
in general I laughed and cried a lot in this drama! Ie-chan and Cheong-Ah were hands down my favorite characters 😍😍😍 Their love story was just so sweet and tender 🥹🥹🥹
As for the romance between Eun-gyeol and fake Se-Gyeong I wasn’t as invested tbh 😅😅😅 But it was still nice!
And ofc since this is a music drama, the OST was amazing! Some of the sound design reminded me of American movies from the 90s and early 2000s as well. But it worked well with this drama ☺️😍😍
I can only recommend this drama!

100% watch this if you havent
It’s been a while since I watched a serie that had me hooked. After finishing this series I noticed that there were some scenes or plot twists that shouldve been fairly obvious and easy to figure out but for some reason I could never manage to guess just what would happen next😂. I finished this serie in less than 2 days, I pulled an all nighter to finish but it was honestly worth it in the end. I started this serie because of an edit I saw on tiktok and I really didnt expect to like it this much. I’m definetly rewatching this soon. Was this review helpful to you?

Everything is a 10/10
Everything is a 10/10I love how serious and cute at the same time the actors are. Love te leads chemistry and the plot line. It has been a while since I could honestly say I love this show. The music is fascinating and I am in love with the color palette of this movie. The director better not break my herat and give a sad endinv because then it will be more sad than the 2521 ending. The leands and secon leads have chemistrywith each other and I really hope we will get two happy endings................................................................................

Family love
Was this review helpful to you?
THE DRAMA GIVES YOU A SPECIAL KIND OF FEELING ?
The story, the twists, the actors, the OST... almost everything is just amazing! 🤩 This isn't just any typical high school drama, it's a totally different one– one that would give you lots of realizations, lessons, and a new perspective.Yi-Chan and Chung-Ah made my heart flutter so much ahh...! They had such a great chemistry and love story that's pure and tender. 🩷
The OST matched everything so well and I wasn't bored at all with the flow of the story, although I wished we all saw what happened between Yi-Chan and Chung-Ah when Eun Gyeol left. Like how they were when they are studying together in college.
Nonetheless, it's still amazing after all and I would totally rewatch it. TOTALLY!
VIVA LA VIDA!! 🍉🍉

it’s perfect
it is very beautiful and the events and how the hero want back to his father’s past to save him and how he met the heroine is the best thing ever and how the comedy came together with the drama and romantic and there is no stretching of the events it’s perfect and l advise everyone to watch it but is ending is realistic but it bothers me alot because of the crying i cried she is happy but it does not satisfy me but the acting of the actors and the inclusion of sign language is very great i loveWas this review helpful to you?
A lose Korean adaptation of Back to the Future
It has very similar tones and style to Back to the future with the story and the male protagonist, but I like that the characters feel like they represent young people well from that time period and even though he meets his parents in the past when they're young, at times it doesn't feel too strange or awkwardly executed. Was this review helpful to you?
