Hotaru no Hikari Episode 2 Reactions
This drama is soo cute. Hotaru is too cute. Manager being manager-san is too old man kind of cute. Teshima is still meh guy but whatever on him.
The whole mail thing was cute, bubbly, funny and definitely interesting. It's cool that Hotaru knows how to act in public. I mean, for real, if anyone acts the way she does in public, all of us will have Manager-like reaction. It's annoying. The fact that she kept those to her private life... it makes her 100x adorable.
I prefer her and Manager-san. Maybe that's what it'll be at the end but since it's still Teshima at the moment, wish he could be a fodder for her growth. Haha, that's a little cruel of me.
Point is, whatever prejudice I have on first episode, this episode washes it all away. Manager is still mean with his judgment but how can he not? ^^"
Here's an excerpt from this episode:
Hotaru: E-mail is an important tool to strengthen relationships. Didn't you know? If someone you're interested in mails you, you reply with a question. Make full use of it!
Buchou: What do you mean, question?
Hotaru: I mean, let's say there's a mail from someone you like.
Buchou: Uh-huh?
Hotaru: Then deliberately reply with a question. So the other will have no choice but to reply.
Buchou: For example?
Hotaru: For example ... "What time is it now?" or something. Then the other party would have to reply, like ... "It's 8 o'clock"
Buchou: So?
Hotaru: Hm? So?
Buchou: So what?
Hotaru: So ... so, the relationship ... will strengthen.
Buchou: By asking the time?
Hotaru: ...
Buchou: "What's the time?" "It's 8."
Hotaru: ...
Buchou: - that strenghtens relationships?
Hotaru: That's just an example, an example!
