However, it's worth noting that the cast delivers commendable performances, which adds some redeeming quality to the show. Had this drama been given more episodes, it could have allowed for a more meticulous editing process. It often feels like the creators hastily stitched together pivotal scenes and tried to make sense of them by incorporating various disjointed footage.
The climax, in particular, feels rushed and condensed, as if it's trying to wrap up multiple episodes' worth of content in a single installment. While the potential for a great story is evident, it falls short of being well-executed due to the constraints imposed by the episode count. With more time and a more thoughtful approach to storytelling, this drama could have truly shone.

Many things bothered me about this drama, not the least of which was the Jang Se Mi character, who came across as predatory and creepy. I’ve never liked the drama trope that indicates that it’s a sign of true love when someone ignores a person’s NO and instead aggressively pursues that person (e.g., Secret Garden). Jang Se Mi was particularly problematic because she got too close when the object of her affection was sleeping or impaired or physically weak. I did wonder at one point whether the writer was tryng to play to homophobic fears. In addition, all of the other love lines came off as more crude and tawdry and less romance and roses to me.The writing seemed so off that I looked up the screenwriter Im Sung Han.

Joseonless Behaviour
I don't how I feel about the on-screen text. There's distinct level of absurdity and abnormality that's easily recognizable from a certain Korean writer, that is Im Sung Han. From writing the characters, constructing the narrative and story boarding, all felt quite familiar to her other shows, Apgujeong Midnight Sun (2014) & Miss Mermaid (2002) in particular. However, this drama is unfortunately one of her unsuccessful ones. I didn't like the direction she took with the drama. The women from Joseon were an interjection into the Dan's family, they were more like a support characters observing the surrounding and getting accustomed to living. The entire story was stagnant for 15 episodes after their initial introduction and only the last episode brought some change but it was too late. The story went through the bare minimum of characters exploration and made the Joseon women existence more useless. If anything, it reminded me of the bizarre storylines transitions and conclusion of Miss Mermaid (2002), really close when drawing parallels. On a second thought, although I'm a fan of the writer but I don't quite agree with how she writes the last few episodes of her projects. Was this review helpful to you?
An Affair that can be forgiven not forgotten !!!
Most of the side stories are boring,But i quite enjoyed the part of the two ladies who dropped in current time from past and shocked and surprises they encounter and their reactions.
As everyone stated the climax is kinda felt unsatisfactory considering how they ended the Mother ni law part.
Anyways , skipping the boring parts and watching the one that engaged me , i would say i am glad i watched this despite the ratings the plot intrigued me and it delivered what it promised.

I liked the serie , but the end seems rushed We see two versions on how they got to the future ,i think we needed one more episode for the end to make more sense (Chin Gam goes back with her , but the sequence scene is of a point more then 20 years back from the first jump, so.... 2 of them ? Beacuse Dol Seo was still alive them ... en de director ?
From the experience of the jump to the future, it was a full jump, body and mind , for the personages is a happier end , they going back way back and running away , it it doesnt make sense (going back only the mind is transported and the bodies vanishes? )
Is good , yes... is funny to see them adapting but is a pity that the end was so abrupt

Well they got me...
From the very first episode I hated the choppiness of the scenes until the third episode when it occurred to me maybe this was really intentional. Maybe we were watching scenes from more than one season. I mean there was just a TV series where you could watch from beginning to end or from end to beginning depending on whose story you wanted to watch. So why not? I have to say despite the choppy scenes I couldn't stop watching. I love time travel stories. Now that messed up ending would only make sense if there was another season or maybe two. If not, then it will go in my rabbit hole of tv series that haunt me every now and again with 'what the heck did I watch?' But here's hoping the ride ain't over yet.Was this review helpful to you?

the story was made so good but how could they make ending like no climax when u just got a hot night fantastic enjoyed the drama and the ending u got nothing for the main lead cast called durian... where she is??
Atleast give audiences a few minutes to explain what happen to durian? Whichas as main cast lead ! This might be advice to team production of this drama to make season 2 for the more clearer of this drama called durian affairs!

Inguardabile
