Blossom Episode 26 Reactions
Giving this episode a low rating solely because the writers decided to lean into the stupid, "Noble Idiocy", drama trope to form the 'drama' for this episode. Fortunately, it gets busted up before the end of the episode and didn't drag it out for multiple episodes, but just using it at all is so annoying. They have Song Mo deciding to hide his poisoning from Dou Zhao and 'suffer in silence' for the 'greater good'. This is one of the most annoying, stupid, lazy-punk writer devices that should, frankly, be banned from ever being used again by story-tellers. It requires the character who is previously shown to be very smart to act like an idiot. It requires the character to break promises made. It basically requires a complete plot-induced character change and is just dumb. In almost every case, the same overall story can be told without using this trope. So please writers, don't use it.

I did guess that the only character left was his younger brother Han, so kind of expected that he's the evil character. Finally Song Mo and Dou Zhao has inherited the title of Duke and Duchess.

He presents a mild side to his brother but he is really his father's son with a wild ambition. I don't believe he would have poisoned his and Song Mo's mother on purpose because he seemed very attached to her; his grief at her loss seemed genuine. But if he has grown up a psychopath, we just can't judge him correctly; he would be so good at hiding his evil side.

Life is long so there will always be hardships. Though it's not easy, the lead couple has shown that it is necessary to really communicate in a couple. There might be no effective solution to a problem a that exact moment, but being together to face it is much better thant leaving the other one in the dark.Dou Zhou was really courageous because she didn't just let her husband rejecting her only because he thought that he was doing the right thing to protect her.Song Mo has to go through many hardships, but he is opening to his wife. Not only should he protect Dou Zhou, but he also has to accept her care and protection.Great episode
