Ruo Qian and Sai Er are not as surprised as Yan Nan Xing thinks when they discover her secret. After she finds out the cause of her shapeshifting is Guicao, she prepares to go to Tingzhou to find Jiang Xin Bai. After mother and daughter bid each other goodbye, they go their separate ways. Jiang Xin Bai receives an invitation from Marshal Yi, the local governor. As he prepares to set off for the marshal's residence, Yan Nan Xing arrives. While Jiang is away, Yan gets bored and sneaks out. She meets Bai Yuan by chance and is captured by him. To save herself, she claims she can fix his eye problem.
