There has been a worldwide outbreak of kaiju disasters, and now a 50-meter-class space kaiju has appeared. Gento Hiruma leads a special unit to stop the advance of the kaiju, but they get stuck in a desperate situation. Great first episode.

The apparent dynamic between Blazar and the captain is interesting; it's still unclear who is dominating whom. I'll have to rewatch the episode to provide a better analysis of the effects since the video quality on Tsuburaya's YouTube channel isn't that good. However, the effects and the style of this new Ultraman are incredible. Overall, it's a great start to this new series.
