Khemjira

Khemjira just came out so there aren't many episodes (i think its legit just one) but the storyline is super similar. Both protagonists struggle with a curse and have ghosts following them (though khemjira goes a little heavier on the horror element). Khemjira's personality also reminds me a bit of the protagonist's personality - also, the leads have insane face cards as well

Both of these dramas revolve around a main protagonist being raised as the opposite gender in order to bypass a curse/prediction regarding their safety and well-being.

Both are Thai horror BL about ghosts, revengeful ghosts with tragic pasts, sort of time travel through flashbacks into different time periods, Thai religion and reincarnation are a topic as well.

Besides both being supernatural horror romances, the production and the atmosphere of Khemjira remind me of Shadow. Of course, there’s only a few episodes out and the MCs have limited interactions but they’re filled with chemistry. I’m genuinely impressed so far and definitely see myself getting hooked on this series as I did with Shadow. That being said, I normally don’t leave recommendations but I was super shocked no one had suggested this yet. Anyways, happy watching <3

Although they deal with spirits and death, I found both series to be very good, even though I preferred Khemjira overall.

The shaman and supernatural aspect is almost identical, this is like a GL version with similar concepts

Wu is about trying to overcome or destroy the demon Yao and set Niran free as it usually possesses him. Khemjira is about trying to destroy Rampueng ) a ghost that wants to kill Khemjira) and set Khemjira free.
They are both about supernatural creatures destroying people’s lives.
And they are both about exorcising demons that possess people. If someone liked Khemjira then they will like WU and vice versa, if someone likes WU then they will like Khemjira.
On top of that they both give horror vibes.

Both are BL dramas in which the leads were a M/F couple in the past, and the FL has now reincarnated into a male.
