I expected a lot from this drama and it delivered exactly what I wanted. The drama is a good portrait of a well-made live action webtoon. It even reminds me of Japanese productions of the style, where the acting is more forced and looks more like a webtoon.
The villain is interesting, I'm usually lazy about villains in dramas because I think they're much stronger than the protagonists, For someone who watches anime like me, this makes the story lazy and easy. But here, it shows a cool protagonist who's on a good level with the villains.
The fight effects are perhaps the best I've seen in Korean action dramas and rival many of the Chinese martial arts style.
I already expected that the drama wouldn't have romance because it's a school drama, but there were still cute scenes between the group that warmed my heart.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Happy Ending: The villains are arrested. The teacher manages to start improving the school and the vice principal is also arrested. The fighting app is turned off.
Next Season: The ending leaves the next arc open, showing the villain's father sending a lawyer to release the boy and learning about the story.

*sings in the tune of Frozen* Do you want to join a study group?
"If you wanna be somebody...if you wanna go somewhere...you betta wake up and...whoop some folks arses....while you study!" Or whatever Whoopi and Lauryn Hill said. This is the mantra that is the vibe of this action-comedy, 'Study Group.' Listen to me when I tell you that I LOVED THE ABCD'S outta this action whopper of a series! I am a LOVER of quality produced and choreographed martial arts movies (I'm not a cinephile...totally) and this series...is giving the business!I just wanted to share that, and I won't say much more, but watch this!

Great Watch of you enjoyed Weak Hero Class..
The male lead was everything, A great adaptation of the popular WEBTOON, an interesting and fresh Twist on the School bullying trope. The storyline was straightforward without any unnecessary fillers or twists. Many scenes had me yelling at the screen with excitement and glee. this drama has you hooked in from the first episode, he also gave me video game building up to the final Boss Fights. throughout all 10 episodes, there was not one doll moment they really kept viewers on the edge of their seats. What the protagonists Were fighting for was a worthy cause. This was so good. I immediately re-watched just to make sure I did not miss out anything. Was this review helpful to you?

First 10/10 for me
If i could id have chosen 10 stars not 5 lol. Story line makes sense. Although some fighting scenes are a bit on the extreme side, I like that it tries to show perseverance gets you to success. It's realistic in terms of studying, sometimes effort doesnt always mean good result, but these characters never give up.Was this review helpful to you?
Handsome OP Main Character, Great Fight Scenes, No Boring Episode
Hwang Min Hyun is my new favorite. As a manhwa reader, I love their choice of actor to play Gamin. A surface nerd but an OP martial artist in reality. The study group members blends well and I love that despite Gamin being the lowest ranking in their circle, they respect him. They are also in awe of his strength and fighting ability.
The drama has a good conclusion which will leave you satisfied even when we will not get Season 2. The manhwa is still ongoing though.
Overall a great watch!

PURE ACTION! pure energy.. no wasted moments
Just finished Study Group and I’m not even gonna lie… this show is STRAIGHT UP adrenaline. From the start it gives you one clear message ... this is not your typical school drama.
This is action strategy survival all in one
The fight scenes? INSANE!!! like not just random punching — every move feels sharp, fast, and purposeful. It keeps you locked in no breaks.
What I really loved is how the show builds connections without forcing emotions.
There aren’t loud emotional scenes, but you can still feel the bond between the characters. It’s that silent loyalty, that unspoken understanding and honestly.. that hits harder than dramatic speeches.
The plot keeps flipping in such a satisfying way.
Characters aren’t just one-sided — people reveal new sides, situations turn unexpectedly, and it keeps you thinking okay wait… I didn’t see that coming.
And the vibe? Completely different!!
It’s got this raw.. gritty energy where everyone feels like they’re on their own mission but somehow still connected
The ending… yeah, it doesn’t wrap everything perfectly but in a good way.
It leaves you with that feeling that the story is still alive, still moving, still unfinished in the best possible sense.
If you’re into actionheavy stories with smart twists, strong presence, and that quiet bond between characters... this is 100% worth it.

really fun to watch
Loved it so much and enjoyed every bit of it! I watched it after Weak Hero, and dare I say, I enjoyed it way more. I know people hate on it because the fights are unrealistic, but honestly, I think that made it more fun and enjoyable to watch. I LOVED the OST and their friendship was so cute. The only thing I’d comment on is that one character we didn’t see much of that kept appearing out of nowhere. It was a bit confusing, cause I thought he would have a more important role, but I think we’ll have that in season 2, so it’s alright.

Best teen fighting series of 2025.
Wooowww!!! Such an amazing show!! I know the plotline is a bit cliché but the execution of the show what surprises me the most. The friendship and bonding among the group is so cute and lovable! The fighting scenes are sooo cool; they really carried out so well. Really loved the forbidden techniques. I really hope they release season 2 soon. Also the OST of this series is so vibeable, never skipped it.
Overall I really loved the show and I literally binge watched it.
Season 2 pleaseeee!!!!

"The moment a person stops learning, their life stops, too"
This series turned into such a fantastic drama, comedy & suspense blended brilliantly. It was difficult not to binge watch these episodes. Each one left you wanting more & more. There were so many great moments throughout, Se Hyeon winning his first fight & Ga Min knocking out all three body guards on the rooftop. Ga Min's mom getting into the cafe brawl, that was awesome.
The entire cast was brilliant, as well. Every one of them fit perfectly together, each carrying their own distinctive personality like superheroes, all with their own talent. Min Hyun & Jong Hyun were especially great together, showing the close on screen friendship they created between them.
Woo Min & Seo Hoo really made you hate their characters, counting the minutes in that final episode until they each got the beatings they deserved. The sign of good actors doing their job as villains.
I'm not sure if there will be a season two, I know it's kind of rare, but they did leave the door open a bit at the end as a possibility. I hope it happens!!!
