It's amazing, watch it!
So well made, told and acted. I was riveted all six episodes, I only wish it was longer.I can't believe they made a sequel with these two. Only to leave me with even more unresolved feelings this time!
To whom it may concern: Please, please, please make a part 3 with them, I'm begging you!

Loved the actors but so disappointed
The actors were great don’t get me wrong but the story was not good. They never admitted they liked each other they ran away from their potential love and we also never got the full story about the dad and if they ever got him back for what he did. It was to short and not finished. These actors were great and deserved a way better story line. The ending was not good and I totally don’t get the NC 17 rating. Maybe it was the slight violence but I don’t think it needed that rating. Was this review helpful to you?
absolutely peak everything
wow wow wow, beautiful, beautiful, beautifulwhen I heard that they'd be getting their own spinoff after unintentional love story, I knew that they would do their story justice, AND NOW THAT IT'S HERE, NOW THAT I'VE WATCHED IT, it was all so beautifully done and I want to go back and rewatch the original series just for them . . .
peak cinematography, peak romance, (peak cameo!!), peak love, peak setting, PEAK EVERYTHING, SERIOUSLY, I'm so incredibly happy right now . . . and also sad because the yearning and pining was so well done . . .
I LOVE THEM

Beautiful to watch.
Aside from the story and acting (which were excellent), this show is just beautiful. You know how you can have art as a screensaver on your television? I want every scene in this show as a screensaver so I can see this beauty every day. I'll have to look up the directors other work to see if they are all done as well as The Time of Fever. Excellent title too. This couple is the 2nd couple in Unintentional Love and it gives us just a little more of them. I really hope that they will have another show that covers the time during, and after, Unintentional Love. Was this review helpful to you?
Breathtaking, emotional rollercoaster
Love how they brought these character back to life once more. I could feel their rollercoaster of emotions, each acting out in the only way they thought they could, even if it wasn’t the best of ways. Completely in love with this prequel, it was everything and more. And yes, I would want more of their story, I could watch 20 episodes of them just being in love! Was this review helpful to you?
Could've been great
heads up i didn't watch the og show, but i was kinda aware of things from people telling methe actors were great, they acted great and were hot. the chemistry between them was great. the cinematography was good, the music was fine nothing memorable. the first four episodes were great i was on the edge of my seat and they flew by. the tension was great, lots of great moments. but the last two episodes I was just rolling my eyes, i hate a bl where i'm not rooting for a couple to have a happy ending

This was a beautiful watch…..with a lot of angst.
I vaguely remembered what happened in ‘Unintentional Love’ but I do remember loving these two cause their chemistry was unmatched….I enjoyed this sequel as I do love a good angsty show, and this was done right - but, the ending definitely left me a bit unsatisfied.
I was expecting a time jump…or more scenes post ‘Unintentional Love’. A shame really.
It was also nice to see Gong Chan’s little cameo. It was to be expected, but it would have been even nicer to see him with Cha Seo Won.

Forbidden romance
This was exceptional! The cast was perfect. The angst of young love was strong. I'll have to watch UIL story again. I didn't remember Dong Hee and Ho Tae from that story. There was a sense of dissatisfaction about the ending. But, 6 episodes really was too short! We need a season 2 with the ML's as adults.
Frankly I get perturbed with the reviews criticizing Dong Hee for leaving for college instead of staying for "the love of his life". Contrary to what one wishes gay relationships are still controversial and unaccepted in conservative Korea. An unease about persuing a relationship is understandable ín light of family expectations and socialital acceptance.
Hopefully, a season 2 will allow them as adults to make choices that as minors would have been too difficult to develop.

Prequel story does not align with parent story
This was very well made. The feelings were there, the chemistry was amazing, the storyline was enjoyable too. I just think it would have been better as a stand alone rather than a parent story.I felt as though so many questions were left unanswered. Dong Hui went to Seoul to study medicine, but ended up as a coffee shop owner. One time in unintentional love story, he mentioned that he wasn't a doctor. It was very casually stated, so it didn't seem as though he was bothered by the fact he never became a doctor. His personality in this also completely differs from the parent story. So what happened during the time he was in Seoul studying?
This story also ends with Ho Tae and Dong Hui smiling at each other, but in unintentional love story, Ho Tae refuses to let Dong Hui treat his wounds after being beaten up by a girl... So the ending of this and the beginning of the parent story don't really align which I found slightly disappointing.
I really enjoyed this series, the actors did great. The fact that the prequel and parent story don't really align makes this a little less enjoyable for me. If you haven't seen unintentional love story and want to after watching this, I would recommend not to, and pretend this is a stand alone story instead lol. There is too much of Dong Hui's past missing in the parent story, which makes it a little confusing if you have watched the prequel and expect a smooth continuation. They are good in unintentional love story too, just a little different.
That being said, I did really enjoy this and do recommend for people to give it ago.

Possibly my favorite BL
I wouldn't have expected this to hit so hard. I loved everything about it.The actors were able to deliver an amazing performance, perfectly portraying the emotions of this bittersweet and beautiful story. Their chemistry was on point too and surely had me hooked.
Although many could deem this drama as boring because the plot isn't the most exceptional or new, it didn't bother me at all. It rather made it easy to watch, without any annoying obstacles ruining the flow of the story. I was constantly emerged in the story, in each character and the pain they had to go through.
Also, I loved that it was filmed in a rural region and during fall because that created a dreamy, unique vibe. In general, I really liked the cinematography, the colors used throughout the series.
In addition, the OST fit the atmosphere of the story well and sounds really touching.
Out of all the BLs I have watched yet, this is one of my favorites...

A heartwarming prequel
I came straight from watching Unintentional Love Story to watching The Time Of Fever, literally a day later. Luckily I was late watching Unintentional Love Story so The Time Of Fever was already all out and finished by the time I watched it! I absolutely loved this movie/drama, a movie split into episodes (it’s how I watched it). I knew it was a prequel so I knew it was Donghee and Hotae’s story beforehand, and what a beautiful story it was, with all the emotions combined. I love how they supported each other, Donghee was always there to aid Hotae’s wounds from being hit by girls and how Hotae was there for Donghee after his father. I just wish we could have seen a little more, maybe some more back story of Donghee with his family. But overall, I really did enjoy this, I was in awe with the visuals, the emotions and the connection between the two characters. But I do wish it wasn’t a movie and it had multiple episodes like Unintentional Love Story, and I really hope in the future there’s another spin off with them in the future and we can get a full story of their future with multiple episodes!

Worth the wait
"I absolutely adored this series! The childhood sweethearts dynamic between Hotae and Donghee was beautifully portrayed. Hotae's vulnerability and Donghee's loving nature made their romance captivating. The chemistry between the leads was undeniable, and their kissing scenes were perfectly executed.
I wished for more depth in exploring Donghee's struggles with his father's passing, but overall, the emotional storyline kept me invested. The goodbye was heart-wrenching, though I felt slightly underwhelmed by the reunion.
Despite this, the series exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't get enough of Hotae and Donghee's love story. The wait was worth it!"
