The Performers Deserved Better
I hate to be so brutally honest, but this is one of the worst BLs of 2024. Literally, everything about this series, except perhaps the acting, was uninspiring. Although the young performers did a ‘yeoman’s job’ in trying to keep this shipwreck afloat, they alone could not salvage this complete mess from sinking. Honestly, to say otherwise, is living in a fantasyland and not dealing with any sense of reality. It is a tepid story with a fragmental screenplay, ineptly directed, disjointly executed, and undoubtedly should never have been (re)made. The only plus about this series literally is that they had the appropriate aged actors and actresses for the roles. They were young, attractive, innocent in real life, and tried their best to make sense of a story that was essentially senseless. Full disclosure, I did not watch the first ‘Love Sick’, so this was all ‘new’ to me. Thus, I cannot compare it to the original. Besides, this is a stand-alone production and ought to be judged on its own merits or faults.Was this review helpful to you?
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
I was so shocked to see such young actors and actresses acting so good. A thing that I noticed was that every scene was such on point. These people acted so amazing they literally made me feel every single emotion that the characters were feeling and that is not an easy thing to do. This series will forever live in my heart it was so heartwarming and at the same time showed realistic things like what's it's like to be scared of people to know that you're in a homosexual relationship or scared to tell your parents even friends. Oh young love
Love sick is taking me back to my highschool day that full of memories that you make and can reminisce forever.The cast, director, writer, all doing great job.
I dive into this series without watching the OG love sick, so thankfully it's live up to it's old series.
All in all this is a great series to watch if you like highschool love, friendship and memories that last forever.

its a perfect 10 for me.. no dull moment for every episode. and i even post some clips of this series in my tiktok acct. the cast is young , handsome/cute and new but their acting is so professional most especially Progress his acting does'nt like he is just 15yrs old. This series does not have kissing scene but its understandable because the main cast is just below 18. I wish progressa and almond will have another BL series.Was this review helpful to you?
IM SWOONING
I’ve been trying to wait for the whole series to come out before I watched it because I can’t handle waiting one week at a time but I was bored and needed something to watch. I honestly was not expecting much when I started, I figured it would be just another Thai bl that pretty much follows the same plot line as the other 70% of the shows. To counter this, I literally ended up being hooked before I even finished the first episode. I’ve only watched half of the second episode already but I am SWOONING over the chemistry of the main couple. Like it’s literally so sweet, innocent, and pure, it just has made my heart skip a beat. I know it’s crazy to review after only watch one and half episodes so far but this show has done nothing but make me smile so far. Now I am a little nervous about what kind of drama there is to come, and one can only dream to not have to deal with the emotional heartache of cliffhangers, but I think this show is going to be worth it. I highly recommend if you want something long and very sweet to watch. This could change, but hopefully this show stays sweet and to the point, the main lead seem to be direct, but I’m routing for direct feelings being to be said between the two if that makes sense. ❤️Was this review helpful to you?
Abordando temas como amizade, lealdade, as pressões acadêmicas e sociais típicas da vida escolar, a descoberta e aceitação da própria identidade, assim como os desafios e as emoções envolvidas nos relacionamentos românticos, a série conseguiu capturar a essência das emoções e dramas adolescentes, enquanto acompanhamos o crescimento pessoal dos personagens, que aprendem lições valiosas sobre responsabilidade, maturidade e autoaceitação, destacando a importância de aceitar e respeitar as diferenças, seja de orientação sexual ou personalidade. A mensagem no final não poderia ser mais verdadeira. A série conseguiu equilibrar leveza e profundidade, conquistando um lugar especial no meu coração, tornando-se uma das minhas séries de conforto. Super recomendo!

Aqueles que não compreenderam o desfecho de "Love Sick 2024" são aconselhados a assistir às versões originais da série, que incluem todas as temporadas. A obra é composta por um total de 48 episódios, distribuídos entre a primeira e a segunda temporada, com uma duração média de 42 minutos e 3 segundos por episódio.É importante ressaltar que o objetivo desta série de boys' love (BL) não foi criar narrativas repletas de cenas sensuais ou momentos de intimidade explícita, mas sim apresentar uma abordagem voltada ao público adolescente e suas experiências relacionadas à descoberta do amor durante o período escolar. Como ocorre com muitas adaptações, algumas cenas foram, de fato, suprimidas. Desde o início da abertura, foi explicitamente informado que se tratava de uma adaptação da série original "Love Sick", produzida em 2014.
Assim, quais seriam, portanto, os objetivos desta nova versão de BL? Procura-se apresentar, de maneira romântica e não vulgar, a relação amorosa entre dois jovens, sendo um deles maior de idade e o outro ainda menor, e enfatizar os conflitos internos que eles enfrentam na busca pela aceitação de sua orientação sexual.
O problema que atualmente envolve a comunidade LGBTQIA+ é que um pequeno grupo propõe que todas as representações de Boys' Love (BL) incluam cenas de intimidade, sexo, beijos e outros elementos semelhantes. No entanto, é importante recordar que, dentro da própria sigla mencionada, nem todos os casais envolvem-se em relações sexuais. Existem diversas orientações e identidades, sendo que uma delas abrange aqueles que valorizam a companhia mútua e, por essa razão, são classificados como assexuais.
Em minha opinião, a série se apresentou de forma muito eficaz, apresentando um estilo adolescente que se manteve fiel à sua narrativa ao longo de seus 15 episódios, o que representa 33 episódios a menos do que sua versão original.
Ao analisar a primeira versão em comparação com esta adaptação, posso afirmar que a série foi bem-sucedida em preservar o sentido da obra original.
