A Great Watch That's Highly Entertaining
This is one of those rare dramas that got me hooked right from the opening and kept me curious and looking forward till the end. I like Fabricated City and apart from 1st 4 episodes that reminded me of the movie, the rest of the content were pretty fresh. Many scenes kept me at the edge of my seat. All the fights, the car chase, the flying bike, and the escape were executed too realistically. Before watching the show, I was wondering how PTJ is gonna exact his revenge on someone far more powerful than most people. But the writer accounted for those questions right from the start...his bike riding skills, his personal training in the prison and most importantly, how he's not someone who gives up easily. The villain honestly felt flat in the initial episodes but from episode 5 onwards, he started showing his true colors. To me, he's an interesting character because of how he was portrayed. He looks innocent and childlike outside but is really a psycho. I felt so nervous toward the end, wondering how PTJ is gonna defeat him. I don't like the nanny and found her acting over-the-top most of the time.Overall, the story makes me care about the characters and want to root for them. It lost some steam here and there by the end of the episodes, but is still satisfactory for me. Some viewers expect answers and a perfect closure for every area of PTJ's life, but I think the ending is realistic. Years have passed since he was incriminated so people have moved on and there are things that are better left unsaid. I am most grateful the writer did not turn the story toxic or makjang.
Highly recommended watch if you're into action thrillers and a fast-paced plot.

disappointed
i started watching this show as i heard a lot of good things about it, so watching it i liked ep1-4, a very good start, i even felt emotional watching ep 2 but then what happened in ep 5? the pacing started to feel so out of place,not in a good way imo ...its becoming much over the top and not realistic to the point i started to wonder whats going on? did i open an episode from squid game? did they change the writer haflway or they lost half of the script ? its unfortunate when a show has a great start then eventually it start to feel like you are watching a different show, so disappointed

One of best in industry
Finally finished the drama and man what a ride that was. Acting of JCW and DO was really top notch and other actor also did great job. In mid the story become little bit slow but it's picked up it's pace very fast. This drama is so f****** crazy, and K-drama land is really on a roll because they just decided to drop all the good shows at once and we are genuinely eating so well before the year ends. Ji Chang Wook never fails to deliver, and this really proves that action dramas are perfectly tailored for him. The plot is so unpredictable that you can’t even blink because every moment feels like another twist waiting to jump out. It’s been such a long time since I’ve watched a drama this wild, and the adrenaline this show gives is actually insane. The writing is sharp, the tension never dies, and the way the story plays with your expectations is just chef’s kiss. They honestly deserve all the awards for how tight and fearless this series is turning out to be. OMG 😱 😱I didn’t expect this drama would be this crazy when I start watching!
I like Ji Chang Wook also Do Kyung Soo too…… but oh my god!
Ji Chang wook’s acting is fearless as usual, but Do Kyung Soo is in another level though👏👏
I’ve watched his 100days prince I thought he was handsome and gentle, but it is totally opposite in this drama, you can see or even feel his hidden talent which is he can be great villain 🦹♂️
Overall, the drama was over my expectation. Whenever i watch i always get goosebumps!!
and I am on 10th eps, only 2 more eps left. Can’t wait their last battle!

This Drama Wasn’t Entertainment - It Was a Warning
I started The Manipulated because of a random reel, only expecting something “interesting,” but what I got was far more disturbing, brutal, and unforgettable than I imagined. After so many years, this is the first Ji Chang Wook drama that truly made me feel something intense again. His character isn’t just a victim or a hero — he is a man slowly breaking, being pushed, watched, controlled, and reshaped like a lab experiment. The most impressive part of the drama is how it doesn’t romanticize his suffering. It shows it. It forces the audience to sit inside his fear, confusion, rage, and helplessness. And the way the psychopathic character was portrayed was genuinely chilling. This was not the usual “dramatic villain” this was calculated, calm, intelligent, and terrifying because of how realistic he felt. D.O’s performance, especially, carried a quiet madness that didn’t need shouting or violence to be felt. It lived in his eyes, his pauses, his voice. That’s what made it so uncomfortable and so powerful.I hated how the woman who loved JCW’s character left him, even though she wasn’t his wife it still felt like abandonment at his lowest point, and that betrayal added another layer to the manipulation. It proved that even love can be unstable when fear is involved. Before watching this drama, I never really believed that a human life could be controlled, destroyed, and rewritten so perfectly without chains but this story exposed the dirty psychological games of the underworld: how power isn’t always loud, how the real criminals don’t get their hands dirty, how minds are broken silently. And the ending… it didn’t feel like an ending. It felt like reality. As if the drama was reminding us that this story isn’t finished because people like Ah Yohan don’t disappear they walk among us, untouched, unfaced, and still playing their games somewhere else. That lingering discomfort is what makes this drama a masterpiece. It doesn’t close the door. It leaves it slightly open, and that is the most terrifying part.

Best show ever
i have watched a lot of K Dramas and this is the best one iv watched so far..The storyline had you gripped ..The acting is just amazing .. The plot is stunning .. the fight choreography was amazing.. The only thing I can say which is not good is that there should have been a lot more episodes… and the other thing I could say which I would say is not very good is that the episodes are not long enough the only 45 minutes each that should’ve been well over our a hour which have got the story more complete ….hopefully they can make another season for this because they can delve into more of the main character …Definitely 10/10 for meWas this review helpful to you?

Everything started out being all sunshine and rainbow and then boom his life turned upside down.Episode 1 had me sat and I couldn’t wait for the next episode.
I really don’t get the girlfriend, homegirl was ready to give up...
Episode 2, Park Tae Jung went through hell. Felt so sorry for him but he started to gain some strength to fight back.
Fast forward, I like the friends we met during his time and that he could trust them.
Doh Kyung Soo played this villain role soooo good! Loved him in this.
Everyone in this drama deserves their flowers because their acting was so good.
I see we may get season 2....CANT WAIT
