Bai Xiao Ying discovers Yun Ya, gravely wounded and on the brink of death, on the street. She attempts to take him to a place where he can be treated, but the inn refuses to admit him. The townspeople rally against her, branding her a “wicked witch” and forgetting the life she once saved. In her anger, she nearly loses control, but is brought back to her senses by Yun Ya’s final, faint call. Within the Immortal Sect, opinions are divided on whether to launch a campaign against Bai Xiao Ying, but Xi Men insists on military action. Using a special pendant, Bai Xiao Ying locates Yun Di, who vows to protect her and never leave her side. Upon arriving at Luoxue Valley, she is horrified to discover that all the displaced people they had taken in have been slaughtered by so-called “newcomers to the righteous path”—not even the children were spared. Even on her deathbed, Chang Qing Rou insisted she would never betray Bai Xiao Ying, her eyes brimming with indignation at what had befallen her. As the villagers continued to surround and hurl insults at her, Bai Xiao Ying, enraged, dispersed the crowd. It was then that she learned the tragedy of her childhood had actually been orchestrated by Feng Chang Geng—to solidify the Immortal Sect’s faith, he had gone so far as to sacrifice his own disciples and cultivate a scapegoat to bear the blame. The truth sent her into a breakdown; demonic energy quietly gathered within her, and thoughts of destruction took root in her heart. Yun Ya sensed the disturbance and rushed back to the Immortal Sect seeking a solution, while Bai Xiao Ying, under the “subjugation” of Hua Yu Ying, took Yun Ya with her to lead the masses in an attack on the Immortal Sect, targeting Feng Chang Geng directly.
