Great Cast, Wild Tone Shift — Confused but Entertained

I’ve dropped long Thai dramas before, but this one actually kept me hooked until the end. The story started strong — full of suspense, danger, and mystery about “who killed the count?” — and I loved living through that ancient Thai world. But when the final episode came, I was left confused. The tone completely shifted from intense and emotional to pure comedy, almost like watching a different show. Suddenly, everyone was friends and dancing together, even the villains! It’s a happy ending, sure, but it felt like the suspense and danger never mattered.

The acting and cast chemistry were great. Prince Pinyaphat and King Chaiyachet completely carried the show for me. Prince had exaggerated ugly expressions which were good for comedy. On the other hand, Chaiyachet was vibrant, charming, and just plain eye-catching — I couldn’t take my eyes off him whenever he appeared. Banjong was beautiful too, but his killer side made him hard to love. And although his crying scene was meant to be funny, it ended up a bit cringe.

Production-wise, I was impressed. The camera work and music were solid — at times, the soundtrack even reminded me of Game of Thrones, giving off that suspense vibe. But then again, the last episode kind of betrayed that feeling. Also, death seems to mean nothing here — several characters “died” and came back, which played too much with the audience’s emotions.

Overall, it’s a fun mixture of comedy, action, romance, and fantasy. The core message about accepting same-sex love was done well. I just wish the story had kept its tone consistent and shown us what happened to Prince's real-life friends and future. Still, the main five characters were adorable, had distinct personalities, and had great chemistry. It felt like a wild adventure with great friends. The love triangle was also fun to watch, but I especially enjoyed King Chaiyachet. I might even rewatch just his scenes, charot! 😂

Funny and Beautiful

I genuinely had a great time watching this series. It offers a refreshing and unexpected take on time travel, something playful and emotionally layered. What really stood out to me was how the love story was seamlessly woven into the political backdrop. It could’ve easily felt forced or overly dramatic, but instead, it managed to stay funny and heartfelt. Visually, the show is stunning. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the costumes are gorgeous. The series does try to cover a lot of ground thematically, which made it feel a bit long in places. Acting-wise, Nut was a standout. He’s just so captivating on screen, especially in that scene where he had to dress up as a woman—he looked stunning and pulled it off with such charm and comedic timing. Most of his scenes had me smiling, and his chemistry with Ping was genuinely believable. You could feel the tension, the affection, and the humor between them. Also, I like the side couple played by Lee and Aton. They were adorable together and added a sweet, lighthearted touch to the story. All in all, this was a fun, visually rich, and emotionally engaging watch. Not perfect, but definitely worth the time. I’d give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.

My goodness, this was such an unexpectedly entertaining full-length BL drama! It’s available on YouTube, and honestly, it’s worth every minute. From the very first episode, the show leans fully into its comedic charm, and I genuinely laughed through most of it. The humour is sharp, playful, and perfectly timed — but what impressed me even more is how seamlessly the drama shifts into serious, emotional moments whenever the story demands it.

And let’s talk about Nut, because he absolutely carried this series. His role was not easy; it demanded comedy, dramatic range, emotional vulnerability, and a larger-than-life personality. Yet he delivered all of it so naturally. In the emotional scenes especially, he didn’t disappoint at all — his expressions, timing, and depth made the character feel real, lovable, and unforgettable.

The supporting cast also deserves credit for holding their ground. Each character felt distinct, fun, and meaningful to the story. Their performances added layers to the narrative and amplified the humour without ever overshadowing the central plot.

Overall, it’s a highly entertaining, well-acted BL that balances comedy and emotion effortlessly. Definitely give it a try — it’s one of those rare full-length dramas that keeps you hooked, smiling, and invested till the very end.

A bit different than I expected!!

I came across this series because of one of the sassy clips of Prince on instagr#m. Anyways I loved this series and it was pretty fun to watch to, there were only 2 small things I didn't really like. First of all, even tho I love all that sas, this was a bit too much for me. I do not mind it that much but even in serious moment Prince acted kinda irritating. Sometimes she did act a bit more relaxed and I wish they gave us a bit more of that.

Another small thing, I wish they really did something with the gender part but I feel like they just ignored it later on? I mean she once addressed that she was a trans women, which I'm a 100% okay with but after some time it felt like a small part that was ignored even tho it would've been nice to get more on that part.

Anyways, I still really love this whole series and especially on the end, it kept getting more and more exciting. I LOVED THE MUSIC. Added the songs to my Thai playlist. Ngl, I expected Banjong to end up with someone and his sister to but I love how they didn't give them any actual relationships in this series. I lowkey hate it when everyone ends up with someone at the end.

Aside from that loved this series, deffo recommend if you're interested. If you don't like very dramatic characters I don't recommend watching it lmaooo :3

Silly but charming set-up that dragged too much in the second half

It took me quite a while to finish this series because it did start to drag somewhere in the middle and never fully picked up its pace again. Overall, I think this story could have been told in maybe ten episodes and would have profited from more concise storytelling. However, I ultimately liked more than I disliked about it and while it is not among my favourite series this year, I would still recommend it.

While Nut is definitely the star of the show (the comedy can be a hit or miss, depending on what you find funny, but he did a good job with the type of comedy they went with) and fabulous as Prince/Worradej, the biggest surprise for me was Pop, who played Banjong. I kept forgetting or rather struggling to remember that he also played Winner in Pit Babe. There he was always mean, scoffing and obnoxious, and here he was this insecure, soft, lovesick puppy for most of the time, so simply because of his acting his characters looked nothing alike to me.

My biggest criticism in regards to the writing are the female characters. It only took this drama ten episodes to make the only female character up to that point that was not an extra likeable… when will BL writers stop doing that?

What I did appreciate, however, was that this was the first BL I watched in which a main character identifies as 'kathoey'.
In the subtitles this was often translated as 'trans woman', which is a bit inaccurate. While Prince uses female pronouns and female polite particles, 'kathoey' is a much broader term that has a lot more nuance to it and can refer to a variety of people. It can also be used by effeminate gay men, by drag queens, and sometimes be perceived as a third gender, and many trans women in Thailand actually don't identify as 'kathoey', but use and prefer different terms.
If you are interested to learn more, I recommend to look up the word. English doesn't have an equivalent term and the subtitles often fail to adequately translate certain nuances and the way in which characters refer to themselves or address each other.

Overall, I don't have a lot to criticise about the plot. Is it silly? Sometimes ridiculous? Over the top? Full of unlikely situations? Yes, to all of it, but that's part of the charm, and there were many scenes throughout that I found funny, or heartwarming, or truthful. Like I said though, the plot tends to drag a bit, especially in the second half, so I really don't recommend binge-watching it.

This series has beautiful sets and costumes, a mostly compelling, but somewhat dragging plot, and if you don't mind silly, often over the top humour, you can definitely give it a try.

Entertaining enough — just not my kind of silly

The premise actually has something going for it. A modern queer superstar waking up in a past life in a kingdom where same-sex love is forbidden, navigating palace intrigue while trying to uncover the truth about the body they inhabiting — there's a genuinely interesting collision of worlds in there, and the intimate scenes delivered more than I expected.
But the series leaned into a kind of silliness that I personally couldn't get on board with. Not all silliness is created equal — some series wear it well, some tip into something that just doesn't land for me, and this was the latter. The entertainment value is there in flashes, but I kept losing the thread of my own investment.
Nothing about it was offensive or badly intentioned. It just wasn't my frequency. Sometimes that's simply how it goes.

From the very first second, this series had me hooked. It’s a historical comedy that blends satire, romance, and social commentary with vibrant visuals and super charming characters. The clash between Prince’s bold personality and the traditional setting led to hilarious and thought-provoking moments, all while diving into themes like identity, freedom, and desire in a conservative world.

Prince/Woradet is the heart of the show. I loved how, with his charm, wit, and authenticity, he didn’t just adapt to his surroundings — he transformed them. Nut Supanut was absolutely brilliant. With roles like Way, Chris, and now Prince/Woradej, he keeps proving how versatile he is as an actor.

Kosol totally fooled me at first with his tough-guy vibe, but deep down he’s incredibly caring, even if he tries to hide it. But the one who truly stole my heart was Chaiyachet. He lit up every scene with his sweet smile, unconditional love for his brother, and his pure, genuine friendship with Jet.

The production nailed the period sets and costumes, everything looked amazing.

Pure Queer Joy

This series is just 13 episodes of pure queer joy! It has it all: comedy, romance, action, drama—and does it all while tackling social politics in a way that is positive, not overly serious, and full of love. Plus a time travel twist!

Just a really joyful and fun series that leaves you smiling. I recommend this for anyone looking for a lighthearted, whimsical, and hilarious queer love story.
