Fated Hearts Episode 2 Reactions
the ML seems like a bit of an a**hole the way he totally disregards the treaty regarding the sanctity of the hospital villa. The way he took advantage of that situation was kinda cowardly and didn't make the greatest impression of him as a 'hero'. And then brutally torturing her while not even asking her any questions? What is the point of that? Pure sadism? He really doesn't seem like a mentally healthy guy and definitely smells of sadist. I guess he's got issues. Sigh ... why are the MLs in so many dramas broken at the start of the series? This just feeds into the myth that the love interest woman is somehow supposed to 'fix' him. I'll just grit my teeth and hope he becomes somewhat more likable because right now he's not a likable human. On the other hand, it looks like the other potential 'love interest' for our poor girl is psycho Prince Zhennan who looks like an even worse piece of crap. The episode goes on to show that the political in-fighting and back-stabbing inside ML's kingdom is pretty bad and may have contributed to his awful personality. Sigh ... I will be patient and accepting as the ML hopefully proves to be a better human than he's shown so far. I do like his several power-moves within the Susha court over the final stretch of the episode.

[WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 2]Episode 2 completely changed my view of the male lead, and honestly, it left me in shock. Feng Suige is ruthless, manipulative, and straight-up cruel. If this turns into a toxic romance where the female lead actually forgives him and ends up with him after everything, this drama is going to be completely messed up and wildly unhinged.BUT... even though he is a walking red flag and a literal psychopath, I just can't bring myself to hate him. When he smiles like that, all my anger disappears. Chen Zheyuan's visuals and charm are downright dangerous, making his character absolutely terrifying yet incredibly charismatic. I am completely trapped. I’m fascinated, terrified, and officially trash for this man!

honestly the first romance drama I've seen where the ML and FL are torturing each other and fighting to kill and causing so many injuries at least early on in the drama and honestly if this was real live they both be dead a couple times over

I love this role for Chen Zhe Yuan, who I've mainly seen in softer roles. He is downright scary here and I absolutely love it.

Worthy of its genre, the leads portrayed their roles so well as enemy commanders who fight neck and neck on the battlefield, and also show no mercy towards each other. They took gender equality to another level XD Lol! However, Feng Sui Ge is always one step ahead in close combat. Not sure if that's because Fu Yi Xiao is injured more, or that the Prince is just more cunning. Anyways, their chemistry is fire!
