In the end, the Eight-feet Spirit brings harm upon the Queen. Jeong falls into despair and questions why the Eight-feet Spirit takes out its wrath on the innocent for a sin committed by his ancestors, but the Spirit has no intention of granting forgiveness. We're approaching endgame, and it hits hard!

This episode does such a good job at amping up the stakes, and creating a truly dire, gripping dilemma where all our valiant protagonists are in dire straits, and everyone's true mettle is tested, or set up to be tested.The flashback to 100 years ago in this episode was absolutely harrowing, and I loved it. It was a good way to drive home the horrors of a hundred years ago, and give us better context for what is now happening in the palace.And oh, is Joseon in trouble now!
