Give it a try, you might Enjoy it!!
The start is really amazing. Storyline is pretty simple and all characters were neatly presented. This show really has some charm.Since it has 16 episodes like usual kdrama but I don't think why it need 16 episodes. Hope this will not disappoint in future because I'm really looking forward to the upcoming episodes.
Brilliant screenwriting with that added advantage of main leads fantastic chemistry, they really are enjoying acting together, totally liked them.
Horror part is also handled very well as of now.

good acted for the actor and actress
this drama, made me shed tears, laughed and smile. good drama. Ilove the dance of the shaman by FL. It was beautiful.good coreography. I watched this drama because they recommend it after I watched the east palace. at first I thought I won't like it, even though for the end little bit too easy for my opinion, but overall it's cool dramaWas this review helpful to you?

watch this
i must have dropped and picked up this show a dozen times. i just couldn’t get over that one legged ghost. but then I saw that kim young kwang was in it. but to be honest, the story had me hooked after the first episode.that actor who played the imugi and the scholar is amazing. his facial expressions fit perfectly kim young kwangs. the acting in this show all together was the best I have ever seen in a kdrama
what started as a comedy, turned into horror and back to comedy and then into tragedy. i cried and cried for the king and his son. i cried for the imugi and some more for the scholars mother.
every single person in this show gave their best.
in the end it wasn’t the story of the haunted palace but the story of the imugi.
i loved that character so much. his goofiness and yet he was smart. his aloofness and yet he was feeling deeply. his constant appetite for food and especially pumpkin tuffy.
the king… if we could all just have a ruler like that. the bromance between them was so much fun and enjoyable!!
the fried abalone … he had me laughing so much.
that blabbering old fool…. omg I hated him. but again the acting was superb!
the evil guy… i hated him and then I felt sorry for him.
the mother, i felt so bad for her because she continuesly had to watch her son die. she knew he wasn’t her son and still held on to him. the pain must have been unbearable for the character and the actress portrayed it perfectly! i loved that she wasn’t ditched but made a family member until the last second.
the shaman…. what can I say about her. her quiet and calm demeanor was so fitting for this. her ritual dances had grace and strength. her character was so lovable and intriguing! the actress was just perfect for this.
again, the acting in this show and the chemistry of the cast was out of this world. i will always rewatch it. over and over again. it was so funny and still had a powerful message.
i wish there was a second season. i want to see that girl who kept the tree finding her husband. i want to see how the king continues to live. i want to see more of the imugi and his great shaman wife.
i could go on and on about this show because I truly loved it so much. i will have to take a break from shows because this one was that good.
watch it! you will not be disappointed!!

Romantic, rom-com fantasy with palace intrigue? YES!
Romantic, rom-com fantasy with palace intrigue? YES! This drama sat in my to watch pile for a while when I went looking for something different. At boy, did this satisfy! A tad reminiscent of The Master's Sun, this ghost story had a few good jump scares to balance out the amazing antics of our BTOB ML. He was amazing. Great, different plot, no dragging. Antagonists you will love to hate and protagonists you will root for with your whole heart. Unplug your brain, this in un-apologetically fantasy based, and enjoy. This is a must watch. You will not be disappointed! Was this review helpful to you?
EXCITING PLOT & SATISFYING ENDING
I blindly picked this drama out of boredom. I had little expectations but to my amazement I found it worth watching. The story was well written in my opinion. I love the comedic bits too. I was laughing, screaming into my pillow, and stupidly kicking / punching the air all throughout this drama.
There are the thrilling parts as well, where I was excited but at the same time worried about what's to come next. It was quite interesting, and the little bits of mysteries as well.
It does have pretty sad scenes, I got emotional at some parts because it was either too sweet or it was too sad. There was no intense or irrelevant plots, everything stayed on one track from start to end.
The romance is one that will have you laughing out loud and get all excited. Its not very lovey dovey or cheesy, it was cute.
There was also comradery and friendship displayed in this drama, one that would probably get you to shed a few tears because of how good it is. There was no major betrayals (with the good characters, the villains were villains from start to end lol) or love triangles.
The ending is what worried me the most but I was so satisfied with it. It has a very happy ending, I was able to see everyone living happily after all the chaos which in my opinion is very comforting especially after all theyve been through.
This review is MY PERSONAL OPINION.

A must watch
I did not think this drama would be this good. I watched for Kim Ji Hoo, and I was completely hooked on the storyline. It is definitely a must-watch! From storyline to the cinematography and acting it was really well done. The special effects were so scary and I don't think they would create such a creative monster,Was this review helpful to you?
❤️❤️
I am impressed with this kdrama, it is comedy, thriller, drama, horror, love story, history, fairy tale, about really deep and meaningful questions, and it is really fun to watch .the FL was solid on her feet and the Imugi was such an interesting CHARACTER and the costuming and script about him was so good... It is that model-actor with really thick lips and poker face, and he is perfect for the Imugi in that flowing black-chiffon clothes and the tattoos on his skin are so INDICATIVE and thus so scary without being over the top.Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderful show
I was watching this along with another show that felt like a chore to drag myself through....but this!!!! It was amazing.I was concerned as some reviews are quite negative and I was worried it too would drag like the other thing. But it didn't.
I'm not a huge fan of historical kdrama unless it has a magical/supernatural element (Alchemy of the Souls is one of my favourite shows ever) and this fit that preference. I chose it for the the supernatural element and to see Kim Jihoon play a goodie (i'd just finished a show where he was a very bad baddie). And I was excited to see Bo Na in it as I'd just watched her in the Starships Company Games thing and really liked her and of course I knew Yook SungJae from Goblin (and BtoB).
It was a nice surprise to see Kim YoungKwang as Gang Cheol so when he disappeared and SungJae became that character I expected to be disappointed, but I wasn't; the subtle change in his character was a testiment to SungJae's acting.
The bad guys were awful the good guys were great. The king was such a great and noble king (a first for me as they are usually not great in things), his wife, his son, YunGap's mother, the Monk and his flightly old charge, the guards and the head unech were all wonderful. Even those who were slghtly morally ambiguous came good in the end.
The fight scenes were good, the effects were satisfying. It was emotional (I cried a lot) and funny (the eunuch had me laughing out loud) and all the relationships were lovely. Yeo Ri and Gang Cheol had far better chemistry than when he was Yun Gap. Yun Gap's mother and the love she had for both versions of her 'son' and Yeo Ri was delightful. Gang Cheol and the king's friendship, the king and YeoRi's trust in each other, Gang Cheol and the head eunuch's banter....all were so well written and acted. And I found it a very satifying ending....everyone got what they deserved and you can't ask for more than that.
If I ever make it through all the things on my to watch list, i would definitely watch this again.

A favorite supernatural historical drama..
First of all, I watched this drama a long time ago when it first aired, so I’ve forgotten the deeper details of the plot. I wrote this review just wanting to praise the drama, the actors, and the cinematography.Well.. tbh I really enjoy historical dramas and ghost or supernatural genres, but when they mix both genres, I’m even happier to watch. The way they handle unexpected ghosts with different background stories really amazes me.
I also love how all the actors portray their roles so well. I’ve been following Sungjae for a long time, and his acting skills have always been spectacular. The cinematography is also really nice to look at.

a story about great shaman
The Haunted Palace is a captivating historical fantasy drama that tells the story of a beautiful and powerful shaman who helps the royal family eliminate dark curses threatening the kingdom. From the very first episodes, the drama successfully blends mystery, supernatural elements, and palace politics, creating an intense and immersive atmosphere. The setting of the cursed palace adds a sense of danger and intrigue, making every scene feel suspenseful and visually striking. The female lead stands out as a strong and charismatic character. She is not only beautiful, but also brave, intelligent, and compassionate. Her role as a shaman is portrayed with depth, showing the heavy responsibility she carries as someone who walks between the human world and the spiritual realm. Watching her confront evil spirits, uncover hidden truths, and protect the kingdom is both thrilling and emotionally engaging. What makes The Haunted Palace especially enjoyable is its balance between supernatural horror and human emotion. Alongside the thrilling curse-breaking rituals, the drama explores loyalty, sacrifice, and hidden wounds within the royal family. The chemistry between the characters, combined with the dark fantasy storyline, keeps viewers invested until the end. Overall, The Haunted Palace is a visually stunning and emotionally rich drama that offers a fresh take on historical storytelling, making it a memorable and exciting watch.

Why should The Haunted Palace be your must watch?
Yeo Ri’s life has been a living hell since childhood, as Gang Cheol has been after her. In the process of driving the emoji away, her shaman grandmother lost her life. After growing up, she decides to follow Yun Gap to the palace. But the imugi possesses his body on the way, and the soul of Yun Gap gets taken away by an eight-foot spirit.Haunted stories have a separate fan base. People expect romance, thrill, and ghosts in one frame. The Haunted Palace is a well-crafted tale of ghosts, while sketching a poignant story against the backdrop. Bona is becoming a more layered actress with each of her performances. After delivering a poignant performance in last year’s Pyramid Game, she has again donned a powerful performance in this supernatural, vengeful drama. Yook Sung Jae always adds elements of surprise in his performance. From Goblin to melancholic, Who Are You, she always delivered unforgettable performances. His dual role in The Haunted Palace again marked his ability as a performer.
The story has been helmed neatly. Twists often appeared known, but the plot made it intriguing.
Its an enjoyable story blended with right dose of humour, fear and love.
