Yi Bing Yao's funeral is held, and Yi Qiu Ting keeps vigil by his coffin. Duan Jin Yao orders Yu Jun Ren to assassinate Yi Qiu Ting. However, Yu Jun Ren still has a conscience and secretly informs Xing Rou. Xing Rou originally planned to leave Hangcheng, and Wu Chong Mo arranges for her to evacuate amidst the chaos. Before her departure, Xing Rou receives a secret letter from Yu Jun Ren, learning of the Japanese conspiracy, and decides to save Yi Qiu Ting.
