Zhao Xing Rou comforts Yi Qiu Ting and reveals the truth, restoring his fighting spirit. The two devise a scheme under the guise of a wedding. Duan Jin Yao attempts to kill Yi Nian, but Yu Jun Ren takes the bullet for Yi Nian and dies, begging Yi Qiu Ting to spare Duan Jin Yao. Duan Jin Yao then commits suicide by poisoning herself. Yi Qiu Ting leads his troops to repel the Japanese forces, declares the start of the resistance war, and young men from Hangcheng rush to enlist in the army. Yi Qiu Ting is concerned about Xing Rou's safety, but she insists on staying in Hangcheng to support the military. Wu Chong Mo joins the covert front and bids farewell to Peng Wu.
