Ho Miu Suet and Yeung Tsz Fei testify in court, trying to prove that Ding Lok Fung’s primary personality is not responsible for the crimes. Several of Lok Fung’s alternate personalities even step forward to confess. However, a psychiatrist’s report concludes that Lok Fung does not suffer from dissociative identity disorder. The ruling leaves some of his more extreme personalities furious, believing their testimony was meaningless. Despite Lok Fung’s imprisonment, people connected to the Fu Group continue to be murdered. Police become increasingly concerned and transfer Ying Hoi back to the Major Crimes Unit to assist with the investigation. Ying Hoi believes the new killings differ from the original New Seven Deadly Sins murders and suspects a copycat killer. Meanwhile, Lok Fung attacks another inmate and is placed in solitary confinement. As he sleeps, Lin Yuk Sui appears and points a gun at him.
