A Bold Blend of Action, Emotion, and Romance, Must Try

The chemistry between the two leads is subtle but striking, and the emotional pacing feels real — not rushed, not forced
Lingling as Tawan and Orm as Ira bring that butterfly‑in‑the‑stomach feeling of first love.
Feels like a K‑drama with top-tier production. LingOrm’s chemistry is astronomical—absolutely captivating!

Only You is soooo goood

Only You is a Thai prime-time series airing on Channel 3, one of the country’s top TV stations. The story centers on an idol and her bodyguard—Tawan, played by Lingling Sirilak Kwong, and Ayla, portrayed by Orm Kornnaphat. Lingling delivers a captivating performance as Tawan, a strong yet emotionally layered character, while Orm shines as Ayla with her grounded and sincere acting. What makes this series special is that their connection isn’t just sudden—it’s rooted in a past love story. Tawan and Ayla had already fallen for each other back in school, but were separated by circumstances. Years later, they reunite, only to find themselves torn between professional boundaries and their true feelings. With natural chemistry, strong emotional beats, and high production value, Only You is a standout drama that blends romance, tension, and heart.

Absent dynamic I'm bored

The scenario without being great remained good especially on Tawan's parts, especially the fight scenes. On the other hand, the director did not manage the bodyguard part well. For example, bodyguards are always next to each other when they should have been more distributed. There were not very dynamic times in the sequence of scenes making the whole boring. The editing, the sound, the image were very good. The recurring music made the scenes too predictable. Ling and Om's acting was up to par but not helped by the acting direction. I beg the directors to think about realism in relation to the supposed Lesbian orientation of the 2 main roles. How Orm can have super long nails before and after an intimate relationship. GAP and SWSH explain this and most other series take this into account. Because of some detail, the series completely missed its goal.

Peak Emotional Damage, 10/10 Would Suffer Again

I absolutely loved Only You from CH3 with LingOrm. This is easily one of my favorite series and honestly one I know I’m going to think about for a long time. I’ve already rewatched it 4 times, and it still hits just as hard every time.

The story completely pulled me in from the beginning. It’s emotional, engaging, and just really well-paced in a way that makes it easy to stay invested the whole time. Nothing ever felt boring or unnecessary—every scene felt like it had purpose, whether it was building the romance, developing the tension, or deepening the emotional weight of the characters.

Orm’s acting is genuinely incredible in this. The amount of times she cries in this series is insane, but what makes it so good is that every single moment feels real. It never feels repetitive or forced—each emotional scene hits differently and adds something meaningful to her character’s journey. She really delivers some of the most impactful emotional performances in the series.

And Ling as the hot bodyguard is absolutely peak casting. Everything about her role just works perfectly—the presence, the energy, the protectiveness, and the subtle emotional softness she shows as the story goes on. She has that strong, composed exterior but still manages to make the character feel warm and human underneath it all, which makes her even more compelling to watch.

And together, LingOrm are just incredible. Their chemistry is natural, intense, and really addictive to watch. Every interaction between them feels meaningful, whether it’s something soft and quiet or more emotionally charged. They just fit together in a way that makes the romance feel very believable and satisfying.

Overall, everything about this series just works for me—the story, the acting, the emotional depth, and especially the main couple. It’s the kind of show that completely takes over your mind while you’re watching it and then leaves you thinking about it long after. Rewatching it 4 times honestly says everything.

Easily a top-tier favorite for me.

Fictional Vibes

It's giving fictional novel vibes Loved it and the leads are amazing duo!!!! Both the leads did a great work together. The Bold character of the lead TAWAN is giving masculine woman and Mommy vibes. And the second Alaya is pretty and cute.

TSOU is wayyyyy better....

The Secret of us is better the cinematography the story everything is on point... Too bad i can't say the same with only you the series. The action scene in the beginning looks bad like you can't tell me she bring down 4 man with those Lousy moves. Like the fight scenes seems like it was just rehearse that very moment. The phasing of the story is very anticlimactic and a bit boring. The production seems low budget unlike TSOU. like it feels like Only you is there first one because of the quality. Only is boring like im sure you are a lingorm bias if you say this series is a 10/10

Do you get déjà vu?

As a fan of The Secret of Us, I was really excited to see LingOrm in their latest project, Only You, but the first two episodes have been a bit of a letdown so far. Compared to TSOU, the overall quality seems to have dipped a little bit.

The acting isn’t bad, but it feels a bit more stagnant this time. I’m also not connecting to the characters as much. Their character dynamic in Only You is really similar to what we saw in TSOU. They obviously know what works for them and are sticking to it, but it’s starting to feel a little repetitive. Lingling is once again the controlled, slightly futch, boss type, with the sleek straight black hair and of course the pant suit. While Orm plays the bright, artistic ingénue with light coloured hair again.
Even the side characters feel similar. Lada-I mean, Tawan has her group of 3 friends at work who tease her about falling for Earn-I mean, Ayla.

It almost feels like I’m watching TSOU again, just with slightly weaker production value, and less dramatic tension. Episode 1 had random audio issues and some choppy editing, which was surprising, especially given LingOrm’s popularity and TSOU’s success on a huge platform like Netflix. I expected a more polished result from what I assumed to be a higher-budget production. They deserve way better than this :/

That said, Episode 2 was a big improvement, so I’m not giving up yet. I really hope the series picks up and delivers more. Fingers crossed it gets better from here! I’d love to come back and update this review with a higher rating.

Great respect for 00K and Orm. Nothing else.

Very disappointed. I had high expectations after TSOU. I don't know why two extremely talented, beautiful, intelligent, successful, joyful women accepted to play a nonsense story like this. Please, give back the dignity to LingOrm, that I love so much either separate and together, in a new series as soon as possible. Rewatch? Not thanks, one time was more than enough.

Leaves much to be desired

Only You had all the makings of a great Thai GL — a compelling setup, two powerhouse leads in Ling and Orm, and a promise of romance wrapped in mystery and action. But while the series delivered sweetness and charm in abundance, it ultimately played things far too safe, settling into familiar patterns instead of pushing for the depth and passion it teased early on.

The story follows Tawan (Ling) and Ayla (Orm), a bodyguard and heiress entangled in danger, deceit, and forbidden love. On paper, it’s the kind of premise that should’ve been electric — yet somewhere along the way, the energy got lost in translation. The pacing was painfully slow, the plot repetitive, and the stakes often felt muted. Conflicts resolved as easily as they came, leaving little tension to hold onto. At 14 episodes, the series simply didn’t have enough narrative weight to justify its length.

Where Only You shines, though, is in its leading duo. LingOrm’s chemistry is magnetic — warm, comforting, and sincere. Even when the writing faltered, their connection anchored the story. Their final kiss (a real one, at least by LingOrm standards) was a beautiful payoff that reminded fans why they stuck around. Orm’s emotional depth and Ling’s quiet protectiveness made even the softest moments feel genuine.

Still, the series’ biggest weakness was its surface-level storytelling. It leaned heavily into Hallmark-style fluff — light, cute, and predictable — while missing opportunities for stronger emotional payoffs. The action threads never fully landed, and despite a few emotional highs, the series often felt like it was coasting on its leads’ popularity rather than its plot. Even the recurring “evil dad” trope felt outdated, adding melodrama without meaningful growth.

That said, Only You remained an easy, comfortable watch. Its glossy production, gentle tone, and consistent warmth made it a pleasant escape, even if it never quite hit the intensity it promised. The finale, featuring a cameo from My Safe Zone’s Lena and Mui, was a delightful surprise — a passing of the torch moment that gave fans something to smile about.
Verdict: Only You is a charming but uneven Thai GL — light on plot, low on tension, and stretched too long. Yet thanks to LingOrm’s undeniable chemistry and sincerity, it’s hard not to enjoy. Sweet, safe, and soft to its core — all polish, little passion, but still a comfort watch worth finishing.

This GL leaves much to be desired.

Chemistry : cute

CH3 dropped the ball on this one

Took me a while to get into reviewing this show cause I had to try and give it a chance episode after episode, but WTH...

They wasted LO's potential with this series!!

The Pilot was so good, but this show is a piece of trash. The direction, the quality—what happened CH3?? Most of the time, there's no continuity—some scenes don't connect or make sense. I don't mind the intimate scenes if their kisses are bad or what, but there's hardly any story for a lot of viewers to connect to.

Not even LO's charm can save this show. Hope CH3 makes up for it with their 3rd project.

I'll stick until the last episode just so I can finish watching it.

P.S.
Maybe stick to novel adaptations for now if you guys can't give LO a good series they deserve.
Drop the writer and director.

This ain’t your usual GL where you already know what’s coming. Only You is the first Thai GL series that’s not based on a novel so literally every episode keeps me guessing. And ngl, first 3 eps? Literal heart flutters, butterflies, and soft delulu moments. I’m not okay but I will rewatch again and again
