Harsh Harsh reviews for this series. Why I'm not too sure. Maybe some of the cases didn't end happily???Whatever the reason, I found this drama very entertaining.
I think the one negative, It was apparent to me that it lacked in chemistry between Jong Suk & Ka Young. I found Ju Hyeong and Hui Ji a much more believable couple in the flashbacks from 10 years earlier. Present time was kind of difficult to watch their relationship play out. There didn't seem to be too much enjoyment or playfulness between them. As for the rest of the cast, I always enjoy watching You Seok in whatever role he's performing, he didn't disappoint with the character of Chang Won. Funny, witty & dramatic, all rolled into one. The remaining cast blended perfectly, showing the bonds of friendship they had built together over the years. That was the strongest part of this series, showing the strength of their friendship in the cut throat world of the legal system.
Oh, and the food. Wow, do they love their food!!! It's definitely the kind of show you should watch on an empty stomach, you will get hungry in a hurry.

A peaceful drama, for relaxing.
I just finished watching the latest episode, and came here. Firstly I want to say, this drama is not like usual K-dramas. And I can definitely get the people who don't likes it, but I love it.This drama is a unique, different from the other populer K-dramas. As someone who is her favourite series is Friends, this drama made me fall in love with it. I just love how they let us see all the characters and how their lives are going. All the people having good and bad times in the group of friends, and we can see what's going on clearly.
Ha Sang-Gi became my favourite character after this episode. And I want to add that Im Seong-jae is an amazing actor. I've watched a few more dramas of him and he was incredible in every role of him. I wasn't expecting his story to be this surprising. And I think it will be getting better by each episode.
Jo Chang-Won is definitely a gentleman, and I love him. It's very sad that he is such a good lawyer and he does such a degrading thing. I'm so mad for his boss, and hate him. I hope he can get better jobs and just not see those men who is playing with him like a doll.
Bae Moon-Jung is such a cute and realistic character. And I should say Ryu Hye-Young is have to be on-camera more often, cause I love seeing her in dramas. I can get why she was nervous about everything she's experiencing right now about being pregnant. Cause she has worry about how it's going to be, how her life is going to change and how much her relationship is ready to get into this. I can understand why she is so concerned about everything and I was okay with any decision of her, about her baby. But in the last episode, I was really happy how her husband reacted to it. I just wish their relationship gets better and better with time, because there are so many families that ruined their child's life by thinking their relationship can get better with a child.
Kang Huiji is a really deep character I think. She has so many things going on in her head and her life but doesn't tell anybody. I hope we can learn more about her story.
I will say the same things about An Juhyeong, because I think we'll learn both of their stories, by they are telling each other. As they get closer, they will be each other's family. They are the definition of "in the past, but not over." I just hope their relationship be more like a intense and passionate relationship, instead of being soft and cute. Because I think both of them are mature adults and their personality is not like cute and sweet, as how they should be because of their jobs.
The actings are pretty good. They are so successful of showing a close friendship. They are warming my heart and making me smile all the time. And making me hungry. I should say they are eating a lot. Maybe you can say how much it could be? A lot. So if you're in a diet or something, I don't recommend this drama^^ I'm kidding of course.
I want to add that how much I love the apartment manager lady, aka, legal advisor. She looked pretty cold at first, but she is actually a really cute and warm person. I think she has a relationship with Kang Huiji, because she looks at her everytime. I don't think she is her mom, but definitely they are relatives.
The music is beautiful. As someone who loves Jazz and Classical Music, this drama is perfect for me. I love how relaxing it is. I like making edits of my own and wouldn't say I'm pretty good at it, but I can say that the coloring is so good in this drama. İt can show us clearly how the life gets colder when the people are having bad times, how it can be colorful while you're young, how it can be warm when you smile.
I wanted to write all the character part by part, as how the drama showes us. I hope there are more people like me who likes this genre, because I really want to see more people watch and like this drama. Have a good day^^

Does Lee Jong-Suk Have A Special Clause in His Contract?
Honestly! I really liked the show. It kept me entertained throughout with multiple twists and turns I didn’t predict along with the eating segments to help make the friendships feel more real. One thing that I noticed once the show finished was that Lee Jong-Suk (Ahn Joo-Hyoung) treated Moon Ga-Young (Kang Hee-Ji) more like a sister/friend than as a partner. While this show is about Law, why have the main characters kiss maybe 5 times, with 2 being the same kiss just flashbacks?? I am convinced that he has it written in his contract to minimize interactions with his Female Co-Stars. Why did Im Seong-Jae (Ha Sang-Gi) end up in bed with his boss in the finale but the main couple who have been together for most of the season had better chemistry with others?? Obviously the show runners were down but the show lacked something minor and fundamental. Still good though!Was this review helpful to you?

Struggles & Strength of Lawyers
Finally a drama about Law, not just that but also captures Friendship, Love & Dining. After Extraordinary woo drama, I think "Law and the city" will keep our weekends busy with suits and lawsuits.The first episode has caught my attention with an intriguing case solved by our male lead and the mysterious entry of our female lead to the group.

The perfect end to my week
Perhaps I'm biased because I'm a law student, but this show was beautiful. It's a slice of life drama that shows the highs and lows of working in litigation, and how the characters ultimately grow and even move on to different stages of life. I watched it while it was ongoing and it was an amazing end to my week, everytime. I also loved how the romance was simple and uncomplicated. The main characters weren't "flat characters" and changed for the better as they experienced new things. I'm grateful to have been a part of their journey <3Was this review helpful to you?
love this drama
I started Law and the City expecting a standard courtroom drama, but what I got was something far more thoughtful, layered, and emotionally rewarding. Not like any other law dramas - even better
This drama is so good so far. It shows the life of lawyers who are like any other workers, it shows their friendship which is very fun to watch and also struggles as lawyers. The slow burn romance on the side is also very good. This is for anyone who likes dramas like Hospital Playlist. Perfect slice of life, legal, youth and romance drama.Was this review helpful to you?
