Lu Ying Ying brings the battered Jun Che (going by the alias "Five") back to Lu's Mansion and humiliates him severely. Late at night, Lu Ying Ying, jolted awake by a nightmare of her past life, angrily grabs a whip and rushes to the snow to lash Jun Che. However, she finds that Jun Che is using his body heat to protect a dying kitten. Before "passing out", Jun Che entrusts the kitten to her. Despite her mixed feelings, Lu Ying Ying orders someone to carry him to the firewood shed for treatment. Jun Che's apparent unconsciousness is actually a ruse.
