Why...

I really really wanted to like this. I saw a gif with the main couple and I fell in love. But neither the gif nor the male lead handsomeness can make me continue watching it. I read a review on Viki that said that the ML is too handsome for this role and I agree, this series is too silly for him and he is not suited for this role. By handsome I'm including that he portrays the mysterious, deep and tortured male lead too well. In my opinion, his strength is not comedy and this series is just comedy. So, can they give him a series where his strentghs are shown? I'll be waiting...

Here's my general thoughts thus far. ^_^

Just finished watching the first episode. Here's my general thoughts thus far. ^_^ (1.) Cao Yu Chen is definitely pretty to look at. (2.)There seems to be a lot of slapstick humor. Personally, I laughed maybe 2-3 times as I'm not as big a fan of stupid comedy, but my mom, who was watching it with me, had a veritable laugh fest. If you like exaggerated comedy, you'll love it. Trust me. (3.) The story's premise seems really interesting, as I've not seen it done before. (I'll break it down in a spoiler below.) So it has the potential to be somewhat unique. (4.) The costumes are your same old, same old. Lacking in the way of originality, you know? They're not bad though for what they are. (5.) The acting thus far seems okay. Nothing stands out as bad.

Will I continue watching? Yep. For sure. (I'm not completely invested in it yet, but it's cute and lighthearted. It has potential.)

Episode spoilers down below. You've been warned. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Alright. Here's a brief breakdown on the events and plot of episode one.So it starts with Cao Yu Chen's (ML) character in heaven fighting some dude (don't know his name) and in the fight they destroyed a ton of the God of Marriage's red strings, which severely messed up relationships in the mortal realm. As punishment, the ML is sent to the mortal realm as a human to fix all those broken strings and live a tragic love life.Only, when he arrives, he has no memory. (He has a few nonsensical flashes though and maintains some of his power, I believe. At least that's what it looked like.)During the year if takes for him to arrive, (time passes differently between the mortal realm and heaven) a faction of singles rise and romantic relationships between men and women become heavily discriminated against and everyone is rushing to file for divorce and disavowing marriage, etc. Fun times, right? When the ML crashes to the mortal realm, he just so happens to bust through the roof of the sole remaining and financially struggling match maker's business. In fact, he disrupts and ruins the super secret blind date party that she (FL) had worked so hard to bring about, costing her a lot of money. The two leads don't begin on friendly terms. He doesn't know who he is and she wants him to pay for the damages, etc. Also, him crashing through their ceiling makes him seem like a bad omen. The FL takes him to her friend who works for the Official/Magistrate, but they didn't find a missing person's report or a criminal report for him. Thus it was decided that he would live at the match maker's residence and work off his debt.
