At Jiaofang Palace, an argument ensues between Chen Jiao and Zifu. Zifu’s abdomen starts to hurt and she bleeds. Fortunately, Liu Che rushes back in time to save them. Wei Qing also makes an escape with Duan Hong’s help, although Duan Hong is injured in the process. Angered, Liu Che swears to uncover the truth and punish the culprit severely. Knowing that Princess Guantao and Chen Jiao are responsible, Empress Dou stops Liu Che from pursuing the investigation and takes the blame.
