The Virtuous Queen of Han Episode 32

Zifu persuades Liu Che to proceed with the court women selection to strengthen the Han dynasty bloodline. Preoccupied with Liu An’s rebellion, Liu Che finally agrees. The shortlisted women gather in Chang’an, including the impoverished Wang sisters. Yuan Shu meets them and secretly teaches the foolish younger sister Wang Yan tactics to enter the palace. During the selection process, older sister Wang Sang shows an outstanding performance, but ultimately it is Wang Yan whom Zifu looks upon favourably. At Zifu’s coaxing, Liu Che also begins to favour Wang Yan. Her arrogant younger brother Wang Fu is accidentally injured by Zifu’s nephew Huo Qubing when fighting over a jade archery ring. Under Yuan Shu’s guidance, Wang Yan ties up her brother to plead his guilt. Liu Che pardons Wang Fu, and further thinks highly of Wang Yan. (Source: Viu)
