There was a company that could make their efforts work, but they wanted control of research and development. The one gave up his part of the company to take care of his dad who had cancer. Three years later he comes back to his partner wanting a job. Their reunion is poignant as the surgical device that saved his dad was a result of their work. The one that held the company together needed help with coupling device so it was timely his friend returned. What was made clear is the partner that stayed never accepted the resignation and had waited for his friend to return. Their company became a success after their long trial of near misses.
