At night, Qiao Wan disguises herself as a gruesomely dead person to scare Sheng Ze. She exposes the fact that Sheng Ze disguised himself as Sheng An's "ghost" to intimidate her. She recalls the past: She wanted to help the immobile Sheng An get a book, but was scolded by him instead. Sheng An took out a silk scarf, on which he had already drawn beautiful flowers. Special Assistant Hua hands over the materials investigating Sheng An's death to Sheng Huai Jing. Qiao Wan takes the opportunity to assassinate Sheng Huai Jing while lighting his cigarette, but the attempt fails.
