What a Feast Episode 13

Young worker Zhi Ming takes his father's place at a construction site to supplement the family income, but becomes physically exhausted. Ying Mei, remembering Meng Wen's past work helping him pay off debts, decides to help Zhi Ming. Hui Mei and Cai Wen are burned and hospitalized, with Hui Mei confined to home to recover. Ying Mei gives Meng Wen's girlfriend Xiao Hui money for a house purchase, but Meng Wen is so angry that he threatens to break up with her. He then confides his long-held resentment to Ying Mei. Hui Mei discovers her mother-in-law, Chen Que, is making oily rice, which she doesn't understand. Jun Yan reminds her it's a family tradition, and Hui Mei realizes she's misunderstood her mother-in-law for a long time. She volunteers to learn how to make the family recipe.
