Une nouvelle collaboration culinaire interculturelle est là ! Sous la direction du chef JP Anglo, les célébrités philippines Jodi Sta. Maria, Francine Diaz, Janella Salvador et Arci Muñoz s'associent à l'acteur sud-coréen Ji Chang Wook pour ouvrir un restaurant éphémère philippin à Gangnam. Les stars se mettent au travail pour trouver les ingrédients, concevoir les menus, préparer les plats et servir les clients, tout en surmontant les barrières linguistiques, les différences culturelles et la pression quotidienne du travail en restauration. Malgré les difficultés à venir, les stars se consacrent pleinement à leur objectif : faire découvrir la cuisine philippine à la Corée, en servant des plats philippins classiques à des invités spéciaux et des clients curieux. Kumusta Variety Show: A Fun Journey of Food, Culture, and Teamwork
I really enjoyed watching Kumusta Variety Show. I love how the show was able to combine food, culture, friendship, and teamwork. Seeing the casts work together was one of the reasons why the show was enjoyable. Each of them brought their own personality and made the journey more interesting.I especially liked how the show highlighted Filipino food and how they shared our culture with Korean viewers. It was also nice to see the struggles, funny moments, and teamwork behind running a restaurant. The bond between the cast members made the show feel warm and genuine.
However, I also had a small personal issue while watching the show. Although I appreciate Arci Muñoz and her effort in the program, there were moments when her way of speaking did not really match my preference. Her baby-talking style sometimes felt distracting and a little uncomfortable for me to watch because it came across as forced. Of course, this is only my personal opinion, and I still recognize her contribution and energy to the show.
Despite that, Kumusta Variety Show was still a fun and meaningful show to watch. The overall concept, the cast, and the message of sharing Filipino culture made it a memorable experience. I enjoyed the journey and appreciated the effort everyone gave to make the show successful.
Korean/ Pinoy Food
A wonderful series to to change up my kdrama flow. To see the celebrities challenged outside of their comfort zone and to see why The Head Chef appreciated the celebrity staff. At the press conference he admitted having a preceived notion the kitchen staff with little or no restaurant experience proved his preferences so wrong. He saw the entertainment passion and proactivness translate from acting to food service in an instant making the operations run smoothly and efficiently on the fly. I loved the customers Korean and Philipino coming into restaurant gasping at who was serving them. The show was quite entertaining and enjoyable to watch! PS to hear there will be a Season 2 in PI- I look forward to watching it 😊😊👍👍
