Supplementary Investigation: Off-Duty Gavan Episode 8

On MultiEarth ?5109, Kiki, Koto and AGI are having a girls' night and eating snacks. Koto tells the other two about something she once did in school that almost resulted in it being destroyed. Kiki mocks her for using an AI software to write an apology letter to her teacher. AGI notices that they look like really great friends and thinks that them becoming friends is destiny. Koto wonders if that really is destiny, but Kiki says it isn't. AGI explains to the forensics duo that destiny is an algorithmic inevitability and that, theoretically, by calculating all quantum events in the universe, it would be possible to predict anything that happens. Koto thinks this is an unromantic explanation, while Kiki says that it has to be more logical than romantic. AGI thinks they're similar to Reiji and Daisuke, and that they're both correct. Koto thinks her meeting with Kiki was coincidental, but Kiki corrects her that destiny is also fate, meaning everything is predetermined. She then corrects herself and tells her that them becoming friends is the result of their decisions.
