A Painful Truth Is Better Than a Lifetime of Lies 💔

What Zhou Yan’s brother did was terrible. He deliberately set Zhou Yan and Shen Mo up, and while I definitely don’t agree with what he did, at least two important truths finally came out of it.


First, we now know that Ming Xuan was the one who exposed Zhou Yan and Shen Mo’s relationship to their parents, which ultimately led to Shen Mo getting hurt. That was difficult to forgive, but seeing Ming Xuan stay by Shen Mo’s side, take care of him and help him recover showed how much he regretted his actions. For me, his redemption arc is slowly coming together, and I can accept that people can make terrible mistakes and genuinely try to make things right.


Second, and probably the most heartbreaking part, was poor An’an catching her fiancé and her friend together with her own eyes. 💔 I can’t imagine how shattered she must have felt in that moment. So many of the men she trusted had lied to her, and now the man she was preparing to marry was another person who had been hiding the truth from her.


As painful as it was, part of me is actually glad An’an discovered everything now. They are not married yet and they don’t have children together. It is better for her heart to break now and for her to walk away from Zhou Yan than to spend years married to someone who is gay, doesn’t truly love her romantically and was using their relationship to hide who he really loved.


She deserves someone who chooses her completely, not someone who sees her as a convenient way to hide the truth. The pain she is feeling now will be devastating, but a broken heart can eventually heal. A lifetime built on a lie would have hurt so much more. 💔


And despite the Chinese government’s restrictions on BL, I’m genuinely shocked by how bold this series has been!The actual actors Rao Zi Hao, who plays Shen Mo, and Hou Ming Xuan, who plays Ming Xuan, have been all over my Facebook lately with their livestreams, and I swear I have never seen so many kisses during a livestream before! 😂


Their chemistry and comfort with each other are seriously on another level.Then Episode 5 gave us that intimate NC bed scene, and I honestly never imagined I would see something that hot and wild in a Chinese BL. During the scene, Shen Mo asks in his mind, “Do you even like me a little?” and Ming Xuan replies in his mind, “If I didn’t like you, I wouldn’t be turned on.” 😂 From a guy’s perspective, that response felt so real and straightforward.You could hear the moaning, and the whole scene felt incredibly raw and realistic.


The chemistry between Rao Zi Hao and Hou Ming Xuan feels so natural that you can really see how comfortable they are with each other both onscreen and offscreen.Of course, NC scenes alone are never enough to make a great BL. I’m also genuinely loving the plot, acting and characters, which makes everything even better. So far, this series is ticking all the boxes for me!
