Lee Si Young is considering to star as the female lead in the upcoming Korean adaptation of the hit US TV series "The Mentalist".
On January 20th, an official from Lee Si Young’s agency Ace Factory announced, "Lee Si Young has received an offer to star in a remake of 'The Mentalist' and is currently reviewing it." Previously, it was reported that actor Park Shi Hoo was also given an offer and positively considering to appear as the male lead.
The drama adaptation will be helmed by Pyo Min Soo (who also directed KDramas such as 2015 “The Producers" and 2004 "Full House"). The broadcasting network and airing dates are yet to be announced.
The Mentalist is an American drama television series that ran from September 23, 2008, until February 18, 2015, broadcasting 151 episodes over seven seasons, on CBS.
Meanwhile, the actress showed off her great acting skills in the previous year by playing the female lead on the KDramas "SF8: Blink" and "Sweet Home."
