Background

Paul and Pete are identical twin brothers who grew up in America. They both lived with their father. As children, Paul was a naughty child and would always tease Pete. After growing up, Pete was kicked out of the house by his father for being gay. He moved to Thailand with his nanny, Papha, and has lived there ever since. Paul and Pete have not seen each other in over ten years.

Before the Switch

Paul is a nature-loving photographer. He travels to Thailand to take photos of wildlife. He likes to become close to nature by letting his hair grow out, and not bathe for days, just so his scent is natural and will not alert the animals around him. While on his outing, he meets Lookjun. They end up arguing when she sprays perfume in the air, and he tells her she is harming the environment. They encounter each other a couple more times on their stay.

One night, Paul has a foreboding dream about his brother, Pete's, death. Soon after, he receives a call about Pete being hospitalized. Paul rushes there to see him. When he arrives, Papha, informs him that Pete attempted suicide because of his boyfriend. After Pete wakes up, he eventually asks Paul to pretend to be him in front of the reporters, so that way his reputation isn't ruined for trying to kill himself because of a man. Paul refuses, for he does not want to, and does not think he will be able to fool anyone. Paul doesn't think he will be able to convincingly behave in the same manner as Pete, especially since Pete is gay while Paul is not. However, when Pete's secret is about to be revealed, Paul is shown to have changed his mind and appears in front of the reporters, clean-cut, posing as Pete.

Before the Switch

Pete is a famous actor in the entertainment industry. He is gay, but tries to find it from the public. He lives with his best friend, Lookjun, and his nanny, Papha. On his boyfriend's birthday, he goes to surprise him at his apartment. Much to his dismay, he catches him cheating on him. His boyfriend then beats him. He staggers out of the apartment and makes his way home. Upon looking at himself in the mirror, bloody and beaten, along with his broken heart, he attempts suicide. His nanny, Papha, finds him.

After being admitted to the hospital, he is reunited with his brother, Paul. When Paul questions him, he refuses to talk about the incident. Pete then asks Paul to pretend to be him, in fear that his reputation will be ruined for trying to kill himself because of a man. He has never told anyone that he has a twin, so it would work. Though Paul initially refuses, he does end up posing as Pete.

• Pete has a phobia of tape.

• Pete supposedly has good art skills, unlike Paul.

• Paul usually wears a necklace with his grandmother's ring on it. This is how he can be distinguished from Pete.

• The drama Pete is working on is a remake of Game Rai Game Rak.
