Depending on Sachi's income, he leads a reliant life. With an easygoing personality, he tries to mediate the strained relationship between Sachi and Koharu. Nozomi, upon hearing that he doesn't work much, affectionately calls him 'Namakemono-san' (Lazy Person).
After learning the truth about Shin's accident through Sachi, he visits Shiori, who has left home and persuades her to make amends with Koharu.
