Uesugi Shiori

The daughter of Sachi and Kentaro. Currently taking a gap year from art school and attending an art preparatory school. Legally, she is considered Koharu's half-sister as they have different fathers.

Having faced bullying during her middle and high school years, she tried hard to meet her mother's expectations. However, upon Shin's visit to the Uesugi family, she learned about Koharu's existence. Through Shin, she felt the distance between Koharu and Sachi narrowing, leading to a growing sense of loneliness.

She keeps the truth about Shin's accident hidden from her family and, during an argument, blames Koharu by saying, "Your husband died too, didn't he? It's not like he was accused of molestation. I saw it on the news." Later, she confides in Sachi about the truth but is sternly silenced. Despite keeping this secret, she continues to live with the Aoyagi family. After reading a letter from Shin addressed to Koharu, she becomes unsettled, confesses the truth to Koharu, and then leaves home without disclosing her destination.

Encountering a man who pushed Shin onto the tracks in the city, she fails to capture him, leading to psychological distress. However, persuaded by Kentaro and Sachi, she undergoes an HLA typing test, discovering compatibility with Koharu. She offers to become Koharu's donor for the transplant.
