    3. Mr. Queen

    Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes

    8.5

Entertaining, fun yet at times moving drama and a great take on the whole time-traveling premise.
The ending, though, felt a bit underwhelming and made the whole romance side of the plot somewhat incomplete.

  • Lie After Lie

    4. Lie After Lie

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    6.0

Good but not great makjang melodrama.
It was decently entertaining and it had a couple of good ideas here and there. Overall it was a good watch, but I doubt I'll want to rewatch it or that I'll remember it for long.

One thing to mention though: we need more second ML like the one presented here!

  • Oh My Baby

    5. Oh My Baby

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.0

I like Jang Na Ra and this role was perfect for her.
The drama is a bit understated, but feels real and mixes feelings with comedy quite well. The story dragged a bit towards the last few episodes, but overall it was a very pleasant romantic comedy, with a no-nonsense heroine and a funny ML. The second ML had some bouts of jealousy that were maybe a bit annoying, but overall I think the characters behaved in a reasonable manner. I particularly loved the FL's mother! She was reasonable, strong, opinionated but compassionate too!

  • Sell Your Haunted House

    6. Sell Your Haunted House

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    9.5

Wonderfully acted and well crafted mystery story.
The show was never boring and the pace was consistent from start to finish.
If I had to find a fault it might be the fact that the editing was sometimes a little bit weird and pulled me out of the show. In a few episodes the scenes were well directed and edited, but the transition between them was sometimes way too sudden and jarring. as if they didn't have enough time to think it out.
Also, the product placement was SO obvious and ridiculous, but it was done with humor, so it was mostly fine.
There's no romance in the story, but the leads had good chemistry and synergy and it made for a very satisfying and engaging show.

  • Rooftop Prince

    7. Rooftop Prince

    Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes

    7.0

This drama it-s definitely a product of its time.
It lacks polish, the plot has quite a lot of inconsistencies and the acting is at times a bit too cheesy. On the other hand the heavy-handed melodramatic and makjangish tone isn't too bad once in a while and there is a good dose of humor that counterbalance it nicely.

It gave me vibes of Boys Over Flowers in the sense that I wanted to keep watching even if the plot was utterly ridiculous at times.

  • 100 Days My Prince

    8. 100 Days My Prince

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    9.5

There is something about this drama that I just cannot get enough of...I realize it's cliche and sometimes very silly, but it's still one of my top favourite and a go-to drama whenever I feel in a slump.

    4th rewatch: October 2021

  • Bossam: Steal the Fate

    9. Bossam: Steal the Fate

    Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes

    7.0

Decent historical, well acted, but a bit repetitive and with a not well-thought plot.

    October 2021

  • Familiar Wife

    10. Familiar Wife

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    7.5

Decent drama, but not exactly one of my favourites.

  • Queen of Reversals

    11. Queen of Reversals

    Korean Drama - 2010, 31 episodes

    8.0

Rewatching this drama was less engaging, but it's still solid.
You can feel that it's now somehow antiquated, but it has a certain charm to me. There are quite a few clichees, but I don't mind in this older dramas as they bother me a lot less.

  • The Uncanny Counter

    12. The Uncanny Counter

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.0

Satisfying  supernatural/action drama. The cast was great, the performances amazing, but it seemed like the plot could have been managed a bit better in the middle to late episodes. It felt as if the rules were changed from one episode to the next just to overcome the obstacles they had previously set.
    14/11/2021 - 17/11/2021

  • Mad for Each Other

    13. Mad for Each Other

    Korean Drama - 2021, 13 episodes

    8.0

Cute romantic story with quirky characters that somehow are not that stereotypical.
    17/11/2021 - 19/11/2021

  • Hello, Me!

    14. Hello, Me!

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    7.0

The idea was promising and the cast brilliant, but the plot went sometimes all over the place in a very clumsy way.
The romance was cute, but barely existing and sadly the two leads didn't have much romantic chemistry.
The company plot was ridiculous even if I have to grant that some common cliches were defied. Still the drama would have been better without it.
    19-11/2021 - 21/11/2021

  • Was It Love?

    15. Was It Love?

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    7.5

Flawed  but enjoyable drama, mostly because of the great cast.
The story is a bit all over the place and could have definitely be planned better, but I honestly expected much worse considering the several bad reviews.
    21/11/2021 - 23/11/2021

  • The Secret Life of My Secretary

    16. The Secret Life of My Secretary

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

    7.0

Cute pleasant romcom, but nothing to write home about.
I think there were quite a few plot points that were dropped in the middle of it all without any thought.
The company plots/conspiracies were poorly developed and disappointing.  I mostly skipped the last two episodes once the two leads got together.
The cast was great though, I actually enjoyed everyone's performance in here.

  • Thirty but Seventeen

    17. Thirty but Seventeen

    Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes

    9.0

Still very cute! The pace is a bit too calm for my usual taste in the middle of the drama when the reveals keep getting teased with no resolution, but overall it's still a very engaging drama

    FIRST REWATCH 30/11/2021 - 03/12/2021

  • 18 Again

    18. 18 Again

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.5

This drama was at times amazing to the point that I was about considering a 9+ score, but there just were some parts that detracted quite a bit from the overall enjoyment.

Mostly this has to do with the secondary adult characters. They were well acted by very talented actors but their characterizations were poorly explored and overall quite flat. I personally found the Deok Jin and Ms Ok couple to be potentially very interesting and fun, but just so badly developed that I couldn't really even figure out why they even bothered putting it there.

    03/12/2021 - 05/12/2021

  • Heart to Heart

    19. Heart to Heart

    Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes

    9.0

Still one of my favourite.  I do understand complaints about the ML being abusive in the first few epsodes, but personally I think there are circumstances that frame the situation very differently as it's his rude treatment of the FL that's at first the reason she actually manages to be comfortable with him., cuss at him and speak her mind. There are a couple of comments made by him to the second ML lead that indeed somehow prove he's consciously doing it. to get a reaction out of her.

  • Unmei ni, Nita Koi

    20. Unmei ni, Nita Koi

    Japanese Drama - 2016, 8 episodes

    9.5

This drama is full of tropes, I admit it. Still it manages to turn most around of them in a meaningful way. That, combined with a powerful yet understated performance by the lead actress and a very compelling music score, make this drama always worth my watch.

Reading around it seems that the ML always gets a bit of complaints for his lackluster acting, but I think  in here he was pretty good. He's probably not the most versatile actor around, but he conveyed his character quite well.

  • Good Manager

    21. Good Manager

    Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes

    9.5

I may have enjoyed the drama more the second time around.
I do still think the two MLs should have started working together a couple of episodes earlier than they did, though.

  • Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi

    22. Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi

    Japanese Drama - 2019, 10 episodes

    9.0

At the third watch this drama still holds. The love story doesn't particularly resonate with me, but the struggle with adult life and expectation still does sound real.

  • Zombie Detective

    23. Zombie Detective

    Korean Drama - 2020, 24 episodes

    8.0

Great concept and good characters, but the plot became a bit tiring and could have been more cohesive.
I honestly would have preferred no love hints at all, even if we get only a tiny speck at the end.

    18/12/2021 - 21/12/2021

  • My Only Love Song

    24. My Only Love Song

    Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes

This drama was pretty weird. The characters are a bit simplistic but fine, the story is all over the place but somehow still works because it doesn't take itself too seriously.
It's not a drama I'll probably feel like rewatching, but it was entertaining enough for me to want to see how it ended.
