Top C-dramas of 2021

I think it's safe to say, this is the best chinese drama I've watched so far and I know I want more of it's kind. Not a single damn minute of it felt average, everything, every episode, from beginning to the very end was satisfying and 100% worth it. I'm probably gonna end up rewatching it a couple more times. I know for a fact this is that one drama I'm gonna recommend to anyone who's never watched c-drama before. How in the world could they maintain the quality of every episode and keep things consistent. Every great drama has that one episode that just feels meh, you have to bear through it. This drama doesn't.  And I think that speaks for itself.

What a beautifully executed drama, I keep saying it's ahead of it's time because it surely is.  I believe it set the standard for modern chinese drama pretty damn high. And do not compare it to DOTS this one is on a different league sorry not sorry.  From characters to the plot, everything was so well written. And REALLY I like their attempt in keeping  the interactions between the character's realistic. Also this drama is the very first drama where I absolutely loved the side couples.  Oh and I'll never shut up about how much of a gentleman the male lead is. My man's on a different level bruh. 

I enjoyed this drama way more than I think I would and now it's one of my favourite. I swear this one had the most satisfying characters, ALL of them were so damn interesting and fun, I would wanna be friends with them, even the side characters. Also this is the first cdrama for me, where the FL had an absolutely gorgeous QUEEN for a bestfriend instead of an annoying twat whose entire personality revolves around chasing men.  It gave me a good amount of excitement, thrill, laughs and butterflies, all at the same time. And I kinda have a thing for tsundere male leads so that's that. 

The first historical drama to have ever grabbed my attention honestly  this is good shite, coming rom someone who does not enjoy historical dramas all that much. And WHO DESIGNED THOSE COSTUMES GODDAMN they need a raise. Everybody looks too gorgeous for their own good. Oh and Cheng ge can step on me and I would say thankyou. 

This drama was soooo good. It made me realize there are good chinese drama out there, without angst, without melodrama, without draggy scenes, without home wreckers. So this drama gave me hope and expectation when I had initially started watching cdrama.  And can we talk aabout how mature the leads are. However I would like to point out this absolutely stupid, annoying, hideous-shorts-wearing best friend of the female lead, well I didn't like her.

It was a very okay drama to be honest. Nothing ground-breaking, but it was surely not a bad drama. It started off strong but it kinda lost it's momentum halfway through, for me personally. However I really like simplicity of this drama even with the slight angst and melodrama they didnt make it messy and I appreciate that. And it has such a calm and serene vibe to it, and a very soothing aesthetic. Can act as a very good get-away from stress if you ask me.

This actually seems pretty well made to be honest, but I didn't watch it, firstly because I'm not a very big fan of Xu Lu, and secondly, I'm not a very big fan of noona romance.  I do acknowledge it's quality and I can see why people love it. 

This hasn't aired yet but I just know this will be glorious.
