Favorite Writer

Having penned some of my favorite shows such as the beloved Reply series and Prison Playbook, Lee Woo Jung has a knack of writing heartfelt, every day stories that scratch the surface level persona people put on in their day to day life. I adore how even the most successful and busy professional, Song Hwa from Hospital Playlist, will find time to unwind by herself in the comforts of nature and the harsh realities of fighting against drug addiction as shown in Prison Playbook. Her stories can be both easy and hard to digest but that is the charm of her writing—she beautifully conveys the contradictory nature of every day life.
