  • Legally Romance

    1. Legally Romance

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 33 episodes

    9.0

A character finding themselves back in the past is nothing new, but the fast-talking, sharp-tongued main character taking advantage of the second chance to defeat her law school rival made me laugh out loud constantly. Entertaining from beginning to end. Great OST, too.

I loved the characters, but there was so much untapped potential. Several characters deserved a fuller storyline, and the last few episodes felt rushed. The dynamic between the leads was so satisfying to watch though.

  • A Dream of Splendor

    6. A Dream of Splendor

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    Really lovely.

  • Reset

    7. Reset

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 15 episodes

    9.0

Well-paced time-loop thriller with relatable characters (and a reasonable 15-episode length).

  • Under the Skin

    8. Under the Skin

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 20 episodes

    8.5

A detective/thriller drama with an artist as the main character! Beautifully done.

  • The Autumn Ballad

    9. The Autumn Ballad

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 34 episodes

    8.5

A surprise gem. Loved the main character's determination to change her fate (even though I typically can't stand the actress!) and the witty banter between the leads. And, Jeremy Xu truly excelled in his role.

  • Simmer Down

    10. Simmer Down

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    8.5

A solid modern drama that focuses on solving problems through communication (the main characters are a TV host for a program where he acts as a mediator and a lawyer), especially generational differences. The leads start out as enemies and have some great banter but both their families sure were frustrating.

  • The Blue Whisper: Part 1

    11. The Blue Whisper: Part 1

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 22 episodes

I couldn't stop watching this (Part I & II) but overall this sort of cycle of self-sacrificing is not my favorite kind of story. Excellent villains. My favorite character was actually Hao Qing.

Obsessed with the OST song "Liu Bai Shi Biao Bai" though.

  • Master of My Own

    12. Master of My Own

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 32 episodes

    8.5

Tan Songyun (aka Seven Tan) is a delight as the main character who pursues her career dreams despite a lack of support from her boss. She grows so much, and her outfits looked fashionable but realistic! This turned out to be less of a romance than expected, which would've been fine if her love interest wasn't terribly toxic & unforgivably demeaning in the beginning.

  • Almost Lover

    13. Almost Lover

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 36 episodes

  • Mr. Bad

    14. Mr. Bad

  • My Sassy Princess

    15. My Sassy Princess

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 22 episodes

    8.0

The plot and writing are weak, but Yuan Bingyan and Zheng Yecheng were so lovely together. A decent filler drama.

  • Love in Time

    16. Love in Time

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes

Had to force myself to finish this, loved the male lead's character development but found the female lead lacking.

  • Since I Met U

    20. Since I Met U

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

I haven't seen this actress before but I found her quite charming, reminiscent of Hu Yixuan. This drama was cute in the beginning, especially with the help of the adorable child actor, but then lost its plot. I would've loved to see more about the male lead's depression and anxiety. The second couple was cute and the bakery employees were fun, so their scenes didn't feel like filler.

  • Shining for One Thing

    21. Shining for One Thing

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes

    7.0

Although this is is highly-rated, it missed the mark for me. I found the main characters immature and illogical. Didn't find it heartwrenching at all.

  • Hello, the Sharpshooter

    22. Hello, the Sharpshooter

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

I only watched parts of this. I'm not a fan of both leads but if you are, you will probably enjoy this because their characters are both typical for them and there's that ~height difference~.

  • Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities

    23. Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities

Dropped after episode 9, just all-around terrible.
