    Rating: 7/10

    Comments:

    • It was very good in the beginning, but it slowed down in the middle and became a she said he said at the end, which I found very fun and interesting, not ever knowing what really happened and whose plan it was. I wished it remained fast-paced
    • The last scene with The two MLs was so sad I burst into tears.
    • The ending was very realistic.
    • Congrats to Tiffany, she was great.

    Comments:

    • This was a solid drama from 2012. Of course, there is the technological stuff is old and the same goes for the story.
    • The cast is really charming
    • The ending was very of the time, it involved a car accident and a breakup.

    Rating: 7/10

    Comments:

    • This was a fun drama to watch...
    • But there were so many things that were ridiculous about this drama, like the qin competition, which somehow became a wuxia drama for like 2 min. The fact that characters were spinning most of the time, doing backflips, or female characters just spinning all the time in general. The designs of the scenes of shots, look pretty but it felt like the director did it for the sake of being that.
    • The acting was not that impressive, I do think that the FL has such an advantage with the pretty big eyes that she has, but she can't act to save her life. I liked the princess' acting and of course Joe Chen, she was good (though seeing her in an antagonist supporting was surprising. The ML at least made his character feel consistent throughout. And I commend the SML for his effort in portraying a character that is just devoured by power and his own selfishness.

    Rating: 8/10

    Comments:

    • For the most part, I am satisfied with the story, but the storytelling style was different from what I expected. From the trailer, I expected a drama with the style of Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, or more recently The Midnight Romance at the Hakwon. NAd I was let down to the point that thought the directing style was tacky and old, then I thought maybe it was to reflect the era that the drama is set at.
    • I wasn't sold on the younger version of Rose because the vibe of Lu Yi Fei did not match the rebellious spirit that her younger self, but the older versions I think suit her well.
    • I liked how different men in her life helped her grow and to find out what kind of person she is and wants to be. I did find Lin Yi's screen time and their story too short.
    • I loved everybody despite their flaws and that is a testament to how good the actors are especially in translating their charm on screen.
    • Su Su is the best.
  • Bitter Sweet Hell

    13. Bitter Sweet Hell

    Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

    Year: 2024

    Country:

Genre: contemporary, mystery, thriller, family, dark comedy, psychological

Plot: The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law duo team up to protect their family as someone tries to destroy it.

    Rating: 9/10

    Comments:

    • This was an unexpected drama that despite the cast, I had low expectations of because I thought it would be like the World of the Married type drama (which that drama was excellent, though I dropped halfway through), but the unexpected dark comedy layer threw me off guard
    • There were lines in the drama that stuck to me (it's not deep but it was addicting) like "no, no, no Ms. No" and "Ms. Oh's boyfriend who became a public servant after 15 years of studying, Gu Kyung Tae"
    • There were aspects of the drama that were a stretch, like using AI to generate a fake message that involved the antagonist's sister, etc.
    • I thought that there would be a twist for the husband, but there wasn't, he was someone who got manipulated badly
    • And I thought that they just reconciled Dr. Oh's conflict and issues too quickly since they needed to wrap up the story on a good note.
    • But this drama is a dark horse in my opinion.

    Comments:

    • It is a watchable drama mostly because of the actors that star in the drama. Especially for the FL and the ML already have recognition in the independent film scene.
    • There is a high possibility that I am going to drop this, like Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale.
  • Miss Night and Day

    Rating: 8/10

    Comments:

    • This drama is so chaotic...
    • I love the chemistry between all the cast, especially Lee Eun Ji and Choi Jin Hyuk
    • Lee Jung Eun is just a master of her craft
    • I love the humor but I like that it has substance.

    Comments:

    • I am enjoying this drama so far
    • The chemistry between the leads is very good, I love that they are a bickering old couple
    • Logically it doesn't make sense and things happen conveniently all the time, which I just turn my brain off for the political court part.
    • And for the first time since Love Between a Fairy and Devil, I don't find Zhang Ling He a liability for a drama.
