  • Perfect Marriage Revenge

    1. Perfect Marriage Revenge

    Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    10

Its eye catching, gratifying, and generally intruiging. I was on the edge of my seat throughout it all. I love both the main leads and I'm so sad to finish it!

No miscommunicaiton that lasts half the series. Barely any at all, more like a secret got revealed and they needed time to deal with it!

Brilliant contractual romance with all plot threads being tied up neatly in bow.

  • Hidden Love

    2. Hidden Love

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 25 episodes

Sweet romance. Left my feeling empty, like nothing else would fill that gap. Perfect for a heartwarming love story. Absolutely amazing!

  • Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

    3. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

Amazing adult-couple romance. Little miscommunication. Discusses important topics. Such a perfect and sweet romance. Comedy is good. And the side stories even better!

  • Run On

    5. Run On

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.0

Well done show with romance and ACTUAL communication between leads. Revolving around two adults this show is well developed, well cast, and deserves another season. The side characters are funny and brilliantly written. The leads are even better. If you enjoy a less comedy-filled romance and a more serious than most on this list - give this a watch. This show brought me back into Asian dramas after I got bored months earlier.

  • My Secret Romance

    6. My Secret Romance

    Korean Drama - 2017, 13 episodes

    10

I didn't have high hopes for this.., It completely took me by surprise. Brilliantly witty, hysterical, and downright well done. If you want a good rom-com (emphasis on the COMEDY) go head first into this. I'd say walk not run... but running makes more sense.

  • Descendants of the Sun

    7. Descendants of the Sun

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    9.5
  • Suspicious Partner

    8. Suspicious Partner

    Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes

    9.5

Funny, heart-wrenching and enjoyable. This romance centres around the world of law. Both leads are funny, engaging and deserve to be seen. The chemistry between the cast is overwhelming amidst the well-written show. If you want something that will keep you on your toes and wanting more this is a refreshing choice.

  • Goblin

    9. Goblin

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    9.5

Heartbreaking, melodramatic, and emotionally draining this show was and is a masterpiece. The main leads, side characters, and story are engaging and fulfilling. 10/10 would recommend for those who love higher stake romances with an urban fantasy twist.

  • Unforgettable Love

    10. Unforgettable Love

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    8.0

I would recommend this 10/10 for those who enjoy familial connections and contractual marriages. The relationship between our female lead, the male lead, and his child is fun, heartwarming, and refreshing compared to others I have watched. With enjoyable side plots and characters, this show is worth the watch if you want something easy and not too heavy.

  • What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

    11. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    8.5

Another brilliant show! From the get-go, the show is engaging and thoroughly entertaining. It's funny and heartwarming. Although it is another Boss/Employee romance, 'Sec Kim' sets the standard for the rest in its field.

  • Falling into Your Smile

    12. Falling into Your Smile

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 31 episodes

    8.0

E-Sports meets any other romance. I like this show because the action is down to earth and the relationship between the whole cast is wonderful. If you love good side characters and a plot that focuses on the highs and lows of being a professional gamer. This is for you.

  • Oh My Venus

    13. Oh My Venus

    Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes

    8.0

Went into this with low hopes. IT WAS AMAZING. So funny. So entertaining. Fun and engaging plots. intriguing characters. This show is great if you want a light-hearted drama to binge. ROM-COM at its finest.

  • Her Private Life

    14. Her Private Life

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    7.5

Episodes 1-14 are intriguing and fun. This drama had me laughing and crying and everything in between. The romance is sweet and caring, and Ryan is such a kind and empathetic boyfriend. Lovely romance indeed.

  • Hello Mr. Gu

    15. Hello Mr. Gu

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes

    7.0

Another good contractual marriage show - it is refreshing and offers a fun difference from the usual CEO of some business empire. Our leads revolve around the creative industries and follow a sweet romance blossom from a contract with the usual highs and lows, with outsiders muddying the waters and miscommunications that get fixed quicker than most. Another good show to watch if you need a romance that is funny but not heartbreaking.

  • Perfect and Casual

    16. Perfect and Casual

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes

    6.0

ANOTHER funny contractual marriage but this one is between a professor and a student he failed (at university) not long prior. This is funny and has a sweet romance development. Another comic FLead w/ a cool, intellectual, MLead.

  • A Korean Odyssey

    17. A Korean Odyssey

    Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes

    8.5
  • Come and Hug Me

    18. Come and Hug Me

    Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes

As I am still watching this I can't say much. But what I can say is this is HEAVY. This isn't another romantic comedy or romantic drama. This show within a matter of ten minutes had me on the edge of my seat worrying about the characters. I'm intrigued and engaged. So far, it's a great mix of youth romance and murder/crime. I am already yearning for more and wanting to save the characters from the inexplicable evil that lurks in the shadows. If you want another heavy show with heavy stakes, this seems to be a good choice so far... I'll let you know when I finish it.

  • Well-Intended Love

    19. Well-Intended Love

    Chinese Drama - 2019, 20 episodes

    4.0

The first episode is pretty bland but if you get through it the rest makes up for it. One of few that has some higher stakes in the romance. The plot is more original than some of the others on this list. And the second season can be watched as a stand-alone or as part of the set. Would recommend it for those who liked 'Hello Mr. Gu' and 'Suspicious Partner'.

  • Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling

    20. Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    7.0

I found this a light-hearted and fun romance. There were bits that were heavier and much to my liking despite how cliche it is. It is a fun one to watch if you want something easy and somewhat fast-paced. And the antagonist of this tale really surprised me as well, it does a good job at creating perceptions of characters...

  • Legend of Yun Xi

    21. Legend of Yun Xi

    Chinese Drama - 2018, 48 episodes

Still watching. So far I am loving this romance, although it was quite stretched and at times slow I like how its developed and how the characters are intertwined with one another.
