Take a chance on me

Honey, I'm still free~

Take a chance on these shows! Yes, they have flaws - maybe the ending flopped, or they were bogged down by bad writing - but you never know.

You might still enjoy them! (Or parts of them, at least...)

*Note: This list is based on the score I gave these dramas in my list. So...obviously...it's all just...my OPINION...

  • The Rise of Phoenixes

    1. The Rise of Phoenixes

    Chinese Drama - 2018, 70 episodes

    7.5
  • The Perfect Match

    2. The Perfect Match

    Taiwanese Drama - 2017, 22 episodes

    7.0

A fantastic drama that gets bogged down by bad writing towards the end - most likely because the show was extended. Still, most of the drama is absolutely wonderful! I'd strongly recommend giving it a try.

  • Doctor John

    3. Doctor John

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

    7.0

This drama was wonderful - right up until the end. To me, it felt like the show should have ended at episode 14/28 (which is when the main storyline ends), but unfortunately it just kept going so that the main leads' romantic relationship could be given a (badly written) ending. Still, I would recommend trying this drama.

  • Beethoven Virus

    4. Beethoven Virus

    Korean Drama - 2008, 18 episodes

    7.0

Beethoven Virus could have been amazing, but it was dragged down by ridiculous melodrama, subpar acting, bad writing, and a pointless romance subplot. Despite this, I marathoned the drama in 2 days. Why? Because it hooked me. Because Kim Myung Min made Maestro Kang a great character. And he carried the series. So, give it a try!

  • Falling for Innocence

    5. Falling for Innocence

    Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes

    7.0

For the life of me I don't know how I finished this drama in 2017. I have tried to rewatch it multiple times, but I just can't do it. Why am I recommending it, then? Because the beginning is great! It's just, the lead's relationship isn't very compelling. Which is a large part of what the drama focuses on. I would recommend giving it a try, especially if you don't mind melodrama (Also r.i.p Kang Min Ho's lovely orange hair you were forever loved T___T)

  • Something in the Rain

    6. Something in the Rain

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    6.0

Why am I recommending something I didn't finish? Because when this show was good, it was brilliant! The leads have great chemistry, and I really enjoyed their relationship in the beginning. I also really enjoyed both the main and side plot, but after reading recaps of the final episodes I just don't think the show ended well. But you might. So give it a try, and you can make up your own mind. Hopefully you'll like it!
