☆ me, but yearning

although this isn't my first kdrama, it's definitely the first to hold the greatest amount of emotion i've felt towards a drama....!! the moment the last episode aired, i began the show and immediately fell in love with  it by its first episode. i literally CRIED to the first ep. and i also didn't realize hjp was the second ml until the EIGHTH episode??? Wtf. 

everything about this drama holds such good memories for me. i remember this year (2020) being the start of my -very specific- struggles & this drama helped me cling onto hope for my future T_T (so corny!!!). 

when i'm feeling lost, or feeling 14 and useless again.. i just rewatch start-up and reminisce on how i felt when i first watched it :"). 

ahhhh!!!!! see, this drama didn't really move me in the way that start-up did, but it comforted me :"). this timeeee was just so crazy for me. i had nothing to really look forward to: i struggled with my self-image daily, dreaded waking up every morning, found myself unconcious in random places, and was constantly in and out of the hospital. 

nevertheless, i looked forward to hometown cha-cha-cha episodes every weekend :"). 

i never really connected to this drama, but loved it for it's cinematography & coloring. it felt warm in a time where it constantly felt cold (LITERALLY). and i loved the dynamic between ung and yeonsoo; esp the fact that ung solely drew buildings (and never people) because they are the only constant in his lifetime; in which i heavily related to at the time...!!!

i also cherish this drama a lot because my little sister and i began to get closer by this time :"). she really enjoyed this drama, so i too, enjoyed this drama! and when ung ends with drawing yeonsoo as his first work of a person; i felt the same attitude shift towards my little sister ^_^
