I used to read manhwa’s ALOT, way before I ever started watching BL series. However, I eventually grew tired of them, but during my exhaustion of manhwa’s, where I felt no interest in reading them, I found Payback. OH MY. It was like finding an oasis in a scorching hot desert, travelling without water for months. Personally, the best bl manhwa I’ve ever read. and so when I stumbled across the pilot of this series I was gagged. never been more excited for a series, ever. and wow they did not disappoint. I wish it was 12 eps instead of 10, but that’s my only complaint. The chemistry is top tier and ToptapMinlee have quickly become one of my fav ships. but it wasn’t just the main characters, it was the whole cast that had be obsessed. everyone’s acting was top tier. I love how that in the bunny scene, both Sun and Jay have gone through severe trauma, both loosing family members, and unknowingly share a raw intimate moment together. Sun has only ever allowed himself to feel emotion and cry in front of Jay, highlighting him as his safe space and a place where he feels the love he thinks he doesn’t deserve. Their love didn’t need to be expressed through an ‘I love you’, rather through actions; glances, stares, touches, the way they’d put their lives on the line for one another, and Jay’s sexy possessiveness over his Mr. Song Baht. I also love the dynamic between Sky, Sun and their manager, the fact that sky resembled sun’s little brother and that sun got a chance to be the good, honest big brother he wanted to be. they became the family sun no longer had and all became the warmth in one another’s lives. I was rooting for their relationship all the way through and loved the dynamic they had. PLEASE. if you could only watch one of the shows from my list PLEASE LET IT BE PAYBACK!!!

words cannot describe how amazing this series was. I binged it in about 3 days. the OST, top tier, the chemistry OUT OF THIS WORLD. The visuals BREATHTAKING. The main leads of this series are some of the most attractive, beautiful men I’ve ever seen. of course, a good looking cast doesn’t equate to a good series, but this show delivered on both visuals and storyline. I can’t count how many times I cried along with Akin. The series made my heart ache due to Jin’s adoration for Akin, how he would yearn and do anything he possibly could to make this man love him. and im sorry but the honey scene? wow. just watch it and find out. Top Form sets the standards for what a Thai BL should be. Full of chemistry, heartache, emotional depth and angst. A whole lot of angst. But I never once felt frustrated or annoyed, I always resonated with Akin and felt his pain alongside with him. the song Infatuated they used throughout the series is genuinely one of my favourite songs. pls pls pls watch and support this series...or else

I firmly believe every lover of Thai BL will have Me and Thee on their list of the best BL’s out there. First of all PondPhuwin are such a beautiful, talented ship that deserve all of their success. This show was surprisingly hilarious, and I always found myself giggling over Thee’s ridiculous antics and Peach’s lack of interest in them. He knew exactly how to balance out Thee’s stupidity with his level headed personality. And that’s what made it so much better. Two opposites – one a drama queen, the other mature and collected – falling in love, without much more of a plot. it was a love story, nothing more. which is a refreshing change from heavy plot lines. I believe both heavy plot lines and simple, sweet ones are just as amazing as one another when done right. I never really saw the point of PerthSanta’s characters, and never saw enough of their relationship to care (although I do love them so much) and that’s the only complaint I have. Overall, it was a very sweet, dramatic series that was easy to binge watch and always had me laughing at the ridiculousness of it all.

Duang with you will forever hold a special place in my heart. I began to watch this show as it aired, and it was one of the earlier Thai BL’s I watched (as I haven’t been watching them for too long, I’ve always been a BL manhwa girlie but that’s besides the point). Duang’s silly persistence had me hooked, along with Qin’s deadpan frustration, which was always a front, covering his soft spot for Duang. North and Otto are one of the hottest pairings ever, both of them are so unbelievably beautiful and I wish I could’ve seen more of their relationship within the series. I can officially talk about TheeWave now as they’re a fricking real ship!!!!! I always thought the show alluded to their two characters potential to date, due to Ms.Cherry, so I was kind of disappointed when that never happened. I loved Duang’s friend group along with his family, both just as chaotic and loving as he is. I love shows about friendship (weak hero being my fav show ever) and so having a BL with such a close strong-bonded trio is so amazing! this show deserves all the hype it gets and I cannot wait to see what shows the cast do next. SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD! my stand in: a traumatising conflicting drama, full of heartbreak, anger and sometimes even confusion. I found it hard to sympathise with Ming, as most people did. but I am a strong believer of flawed main characters being the most complex and interesting. Ming always got what he wanted and demanded it. But he never knew what he truly wanted until it was gone. Just as when he lost Joe, it was only then he realised he loved him and then spent 3 years (if I remember correctly, it’s been a while since I’ve watched it) hopelessly waiting for Joe, someone he treated so cruelly and as a replacement, to return to him. Joe was hopelessly in love with Ming and nothing Ming threw at him would kill that love, which to some people can be frustrating. But the love they had, in my opinion, was extremely flawed, but very raw. I wasn’t totally unhappy that they ended up together, but at first, I was somewhat conflicted with the ending. Joe never got to return to his old body, instead his soul remaining in the 'new Joe’. however, upon reflection, it was the best ending. It gave Joe a chance to start again, but also highlighted to Ming that his actions have consequences. Whilst he remains in love with the old Joe’s soul, the ‘new Joe’s’ body is a constant reminder to him of the pain he put the old Joe through to get to this point. the new Joe is an embodiment of Ming’s guilt and a reminder to end his narcissistic, selfish actions and instead spend the rest of his lifetime essentially worshiping Joe and loving him with every fibre of his being. I loved Joe, he was so sweet and definitely deserved someone better than Ming, but the flawed nature of their relationship and also the bold storyline of this series is what made me fall in love with it. it won’t be a series for everyone, but I loved it.
