  • A Love So Beautiful

    1. A Love So Beautiful

    Chinese Drama - 2017, 23 episodes

    10

starting out with my all-time favorite drama. the drama that pretty much changed the rest of my life lol. if you're a fan of romance then you should watch this!! while mainly focused on high school, this drama touches on the different stages of life (high school, college, workforce). i'd recommend to literally anyone; this drama touches on so many things, such as communication, friendship, school, family. it's really just great. it reminds me so much of my own youth, minus the love interest lol. this drama has such great character development, and ngl it made me cry a few more times than i'd like to admit. all in all, we all have that very special drama to us which we could recommend to anyone & everyone, and this is mine. ♡ ♡

  • Love O2O

    2. Love O2O

    Chinese Drama - 2016, 30 episodes

    10

my second favorite drama, yay. i think this is actually kind of controversial. looking at it from a.. professional standpoint, this is not the best drama. it is a bit long, the kiss scenes are awkward, and there isn't much conflict. that being said, i think it's still great lol. although i am a bit biased, i think there are many great aspects. for starters, there aren't many dramas centered around gaming (ok now there are a few but still not a lot), and i really loved how everything tied together. the leads don't act rashly and their misunderstandings get cleared up fast, which i think is a good influence. most of the actual drama comes from other characters, which means there's always something new. at this point i think I'm just defending it lol. while this drama isn't for everyone, as it's slow-paced and might be seen as boring, i think it has many valuable lessons and is just a nice breath of fresh air.

  • 100 Days My Prince

    3. 100 Days My Prince

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    9.0

this drama is one of the more comedic ones. the acting was really great, and while i'm not usually a fan of the "falling in love when they're children only to fall in love as adults" trope, this drama was able to pull it off. also, the acting is so FANTASTIC. this drama really made me feel connected to it, and the plot in general, is just great.

  • My Only Love Song

    4. My Only Love Song

    Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes

    9.5

this dramaa. the ost's were *chef's kiss*.  i really adored the relationship, and i think the "spunky" female lead was a bit different than a shy, naive FL. quite comedic, especially the river scene lol. i really like this drama, however if you dislike.. i guess "over-acting" then i'm not too sure i'd recommend this.

(side note: even though we do not support what the ml did, let's support the cast instead ✿ )

  • Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung

    5. Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung

    Korean Drama - 2019, 40 episodes

    10

ok this is one of my favorite dramas but i gotta be honest... i skipped through the last few episodes because i didn't like the politics aspect (it bores me). the acting pleasantly surprised me, and i really love how hae ryung did what she thought was right. to me, that was admirable. the romance is what kept me going, and it did not disappoint. this drama, although it seems long, it's worth it :) or just do what i did and skip through the boring parts lol. overall, i absolutely love the storyline, even though, let's be real, if you did any of this stuff you would've been killed LOLOL.

  • Tempted

    6. Tempted

    Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes

    9.5

another controversial one. a lot of people disliked tae hee's (joy) acting, which i didn't mind at all. i watched this before i was interested in rv and i thought she acted well? idk, maybe just me. this drama is very realistic (in some ways). it discusses toxic friendships, relationships, and lying. i think the storyline is really great, and i thought the way we could see (*slight spoiler*) shi hyuns' switch from focusing only on the bet to his actual feelings for tae hee while he was around the trio.

something i just really wanted to discuss is actually the trio. i always have seen people wishing the show had been focused on the trio instead of shi hyun's relationship with tae hee. i personally don't think it should have, because it wasn't meant to be the focus. the trio is a case of a long-lasting friendship that got toxic. i think their point in the show was to show how shi hyun has grown. in the beginning, we see him hang out with them, think pursuing tae hee for the bet is right, basically thinking the bad stuff he's doing is alright. however, as he gets introduced to new things (here is where tae hee comes in), he realizes the toxicity of the friendship. they all relied on each other way too much, and they all had their secrets. the show would have been very different and, in my opinion, boring, had it been centered around the trio.

sorry for going on a tangent, but i don't understand what all the hate is about. without tae hee, shi hyun would have never learned more about himself.

  • Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo

    7. Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo

    Japanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes

    10

ok. this drama. i loved it dude. i think japanese dramas always have the best romances. while most will consider her motives questionable (**she literally saw him once and decided to become a nurse), i think it just showed her determination. (only in dramaland is this acceptable lol)
