Reviews of what I dropped - possible spoilers!!

1. Love in the Air
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
Dropped – not for me
I didn't finish Love in the Air, so take this review as the opinion of someone who eventually decided to stop watching rather than a full evaluation of the series.
The drama follows two different couples. While neither relationship completely won me over, it was the second couple that ultimately made me drop the show. The story touches on the topic of sexual violence against a man, which could have led to an interesting and meaningful exploration of trauma and recovery. Unfortunately, the way it was handled left me feeling uncomfortable rather than emotionally invested.
Another issue for me was the humor. The exaggerated facial expressions, sound effects, and comedic moments felt more cringe-inducing than funny. Combined with some noticeable overacting, it often pulled me out of the story instead of drawing me in.
I was also disappointed by how little attention was given to the illegal street racing aspect. It seemed like an interesting part of the premise, but it rarely felt important to the overall story.
That being said, the series does have some positives. The actors are clearly attractive and show potential, even if their performances sometimes feel inexperienced. The intimate scenes are also very well filmed, managing to feel both sexy and genuinely intimate. The romantic aspects of both couples were fine as well, even if I never found them particularly memorable.
In the end, this simply wasn't the right drama for me. I can see why it has its fans, but between the humor, the performances, and the storyline that made me uncomfortable, I wasn't interested enough to continue.

2. The Sign
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
Dropped – trying to do too much
Unfortunately, I never finished The Sign.
My biggest issue with the series is that it tries to be too many things at once. It wants to be an action drama, a police investigation, a supernatural story, a mystery, and a romance. While that combination sounds interesting on paper, in practice it felt more like a mixture of ideas competing for attention rather than a story that successfully blended them together.
The supernatural elements were especially difficult for me to take seriously because the CGI often looked quite poor. Instead of making the creatures feel threatening or impressive, the visual effects frequently pulled me out of the story.
The romance itself was fine, but it never stood out to me. I liked the leads well enough, yet their relationship wasn't compelling enough to keep me invested when the rest of the plot was struggling to hold my attention.
Some unintentionally funny moments also made it difficult to take certain scenes seriously. In particular, the obvious censorship choices gave me a few laughs when I don't think that was the intended reaction.
I also wasn't particularly convinced by the intimate scenes. They felt somewhat disconnected from the rest of the story and didn't add much to my investment in the characters.
Overall, The Sign had an ambitious premise and several interesting ideas, but for me it never managed to combine them into a cohesive whole. I can understand why some viewers enjoy the mix of genres, but personally it wasn't enough to keep me watching.
