  • Hi Bye, Mama!

    1. Hi Bye, Mama!

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.5

Thought-provoking. Life. Good. Family. Nice Friendship.

Hi Bye, Mama could've one of the best dramas out there, it was thought-provoking and was delivering a good message about life and motherhood. However, too many side-stories and it dragged.

    Thoughts to ponder:

    • Are we being grateful for our life?
    • Are we showing the persons we love that we love them while they/we are still alive?
    • Are we using our time-wisely?
  • Flower of Evil

    2. Flower of Evil

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    10

    Breathtaking. Emotional. Well-acted. Poetic. Suspenseful.

Flower of Evil as its core is a suspenseful romance melodrama, but nevertheless, it main message lies within the themes of morality and ethics.

    Thoughts to ponder:

    • Is the male lead a bad person? By what standards?
    • Are we free from sin?
    • Is there a grey area in morality?
    • Who are the real bad persons in the drama?
    • Do you think you are clean?
    • Are we being doing enough for our relationships?
    • Is the male lead a psychopath? Medically speaking, what is a psychopath?
    • Is psychopath an overrated word? Are mentally-illed person specifically those who are called a psychopath and/or sociopath (people diagnosed with ASPD, the terms are almost used interchangeably) are automatically a bad person—worse, a term for a serial killer?
    • Are you willing to commit unjust things for the sake of your family?
    • Will you take a pill of not knowing something and live a lie?
    • What / who do you consider home?
    • If the person did everything to put something horrible in hidden for years and showed you nothing but kindness, is that love?
  • Solomon's Perjury

    3. Solomon's Perjury

    Korean Drama - 2016, 12 episodes

    9.0

    Deep. Friendship. Beautiful ending message.

While, Solomon's Perjury mostly falls into the part of school investigation (which can be considered average) and school politics, it goes to deliver a deep message about depression and overcoming it. At the end, it teaches about the beauty of life.

    Thoughts to ponder:

    • Who killed the student?
    • Are we innocent?
  • Dear My Friends

    4. Dear My Friends

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

  • Are You Human Too?

    5. Are You Human Too?

    Korean Drama - 2018, 36 episodes

    9.0

Fantastic cinematography and animation. Most adorable android ever. Seo Kang Joon at his finest.

Are You Human Too? is one of the fantastic dramas I've watched with of course, lots of laugh and giggles (and mostly fangirling); it was also bold to carry a plot that questions humanity.

    Thoughts to ponder:

    • Are you a human? Basically, the title itself.
    • What constitutes of being a human? Is it by scientific means, or, is it by the virtues we hold and live by as a human?
    • Again, you sure you are a human? Wait, am I sure I am a human?
  • Because This Is My First Life

    6. Because This Is My First Life

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
