bls that are so bad they're watchable

and also lowkey parodic. it's not for everyone, only watch if u can stomach extreme second hand embarrassment 

i'll be so fr, the couples are actually, geniunely very cute and heartwarming and i thoroughly enjoyed them despite the very parodic (i Cannot stress this enough) tone of the show. that and the giant supportive friend group are the only things worth watching for

if only the 2moons curse wasn't working full time w this one....... sigh

i'd suggest watching 2moons before going into 2moons 2 bc even though it's actually Not a prequel, it still kinda is? the second pairing carries tbh and the yo and ming friendship here actually outsells the 2moons 2 one (which is still good just not THIS good)

HEAR ME OUT it's actually not bad at all, it's actually VERY good and it's also in my thai bl recommendations !!!! there's something for everyone here and the characters are actually rlly good. it's just that it struggles to hold itself together as a cohesive show, AND the 2moons curse plagues it so we're left at a cliffhanger that never gets resolved (shhh 2moons 3 does Not exist). this might be a "bad" bl recommendation that's actually worth watching if only for all the wonderful friendships and romance and having a plot development (mostly)

it's not Bad but it's not.... great. it's a very nice, sweet one time watch though. the main couple is adorable!!

only watch if you're someone like me and can watch a show purely for the characters and their lil dynamics. not much happens tbh, and the main romance has many a hater (i am Not one of them), but the things that do happen are cute and this makes for a light, no brains needed watch

it's fine. like it's certainly not the worst, but the budget is flimsy and some things are a little too weirdly dramatic

genuinely not sure what goes on in this series of dramas but this one is just cute. not much plot but it's a very small and sweet watch

there's... some very unintentional comedy here and i cannot take anything in this seriously. but... again, if you have ridiculous amounts of time and want to just not think for like 2 hours, watch it 

coherent plot is chasing them but they're faster

this is, well, this is basically an ad. i know. but it's sickeningly cute okay so just... yeah. idk this is for when you really cannot be arsed to use even a single braincell

it's basically a rite of passage for thai bl fans to watch together with me, fall down a maxtul rabbithole and try their hardest to ignore the sequel. there's so much wrong w this show, but from the moment ur sitting there watching the very first (gagworthy) scene, you know this is going to be a toxic rship much like the one in the show. watch at ur own discretion (ur blood pressure will rise). to call this a mess would be a disservice to the word itself 

it's... yeah. they do not handle trauma in any meaningful way, shape or form, but at this point if ur watching a mame series and expecting that then that's on u. there's a lot of very explicit sex so if that's your thing, this might be the perfect drama to watch purely for that. the rest makes for a good trash watch (once u get past everything that pisses u off)

censorship when i catch u censorship !!!!!

i don't even think this show is very watchable. the cgi is BAD, the editing is horrendous and you can clearly tell they had to cut out and reshoot a significant amount of the episodes bc censorship :(

despite it all, more people need to get on the Guardian train and eventually discover the novel that's actually a completely different plot and then read a million fics about the top tier pairing that is shen wei and zhao yunlan. as always the actors deliver an oscar worthy performance in a shitshow of plotholes. if nothing else convinces u, watch for shen wei's glasses and slutty sleeve garters :)

listen. anything can be good enough if u find it cute and this is downright ADORABLE. It rlly is very sweet but it’s like so obvious this was a cash grab, which dilutes the plot too much (esp last few eps feel scattered and poorly made). Nonetheless my niece and nephews are the fucking best so watch it for the main characters’ shenanigans and a mindless fun time 

there's more plot here than most college bls can claim and honestly i've heard nothing but good things about the source material (novels), but the actors CARRIED this poorly strung together mess. the flashbacks will have u scrolling on ur phone to pass the time and a crisper, 12-episode series would have been ideal, but you will find Something that'll keep you watching (it was HillTer for me iykyk). the friendships are endearing and the love stories are very cute and we need a season 2 with the remaining stories NOW !!

i mean. it's a show ig? again, if u have time, this is a half decent trash watch
